Global warming is based on climate models, which are low confidence as they have so many variables and they are beclouded with so much uncertainty associated with input assumptions.

If someone had dire warnings based on vague modeling, would it not be prudent to invite opposing views, and work to learn just why you might be in error?

Nye is a vitriolic atheist. The Planetary Society lost members because of his outbursts against parents who dare to teach their children religion that he disagrees with. Very nasty fellow in every sense.
