TMZ: Unreleased video convinced prosecutors to forego charges against Lewandowski

The gossip site TMZ is reporting that authorities in Florida decided not to prosecute Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski because of a video provided to them by the Republican presidential front-runner’s campaign.

The report cites anonymous sources who say the unreleased video shows then-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields being told by a Secret Service agent she was standing in an off-limits area. The scene takes place before the alleged battery occurred.

TMZ also says that prosecutors were swayed by an affidavit from Secret Service agent Barton Brown, who headed up former Attorney General Eric Holder’s security detail. The affidavit reportedly says Lewandowski’s actions were appropriate for that situation.

Surveillance footage from the campaign event shows Lewandowski grabbing Fields by the arm and pulling her away from Trump. Fields later filed a criminal complaint against the campaign manager; on Wednesday, it was reported that prosecutors would not be pressing charges.

But couldn’t she file a “gross microagression” which has lead to sense of meaningless and victomization?

..Sounds like Trump has a couple aces that she didn’t know about....

Probably also has a few his opponents, Republican and Democrat, waiting for them at the right time

He always does. For the life of me, I don’t understand why people continue to underestimate him. He didn’t get where he is at by being lucky.

If they prosecuted here, every secret service detail would be on the hook for every person they ever touch, redirect, or move away from the protectee.
Furthermore, there were about to be serious questions as to why Secret Service didn’t protect Trump from someone they told was too close, and who could still get close enough to touch him.

Trumps manager should not have had to have done that, the SS should have. Also, he was the first to tackle the guy who jumped the fence and charged Trump. Again, SS was last to act.
I have real questions as to how well the SS is actually protecting him. Replace Trump with Obama and ask what would be going on if Valerie Jarrett had TWICE stopped a threat that they should have, one of which actually touching Obama.

Something is wrong with them lately. Just think of the fence jumper who made it all the way into the white house and down into the east wing unimpeded.
All this tells me something bad will happen this election. The SS is no longer what it was a few decades ago. Their JFK and Reagan failures have been forgotten.

She’s cried wolf too many times.

She has now given license for someone to really knock her flat.... everyone would just laugh at her allegations.

She has to have mental problems.

Sad.

They kept it back that she was warned already to stay away....but she knew.....and ignored. Apparently lying doesn't bother her.

Looks like the same mo she pulled at the occupy festival. P>And to tell Greta to go suck eggs....she just doesn't know when to shut up.

Absolutely. He is a campaign manager, not a bouncer. If SS thought she was a threat, they should have taken control of the situation. There was no need for him to be involved, or so rough with Fields.

And had he simply privately apologized for his overreaction, we likely would have never heard about this incident.

Way too much drama from both sides.

I agree. I thought since the beginning of this hoax that the Secret Service allowed Fields wayyy too much access.

“gross microagression” I do that often... when I'm picking a small but persistent booger out of my nose.

So rough with Fields? What video did you see? He barely touched her, but did move her from her shoulder. It wasn’t rough. I get worse than that on the subway or in a crowded airport terminal.

I’m not a Trump or Cruz person (yet) but I agree that it should have been handled by the SS. Still, I don’t think Lewandowski overreacted. She was the aggressor, and not only approached Trump but touched him. She was redirected and not a thing more.

Not good for Levin either ... He went on and on about the 'assault' ...

Bet he doesn't mention this tonight.

So when is Cruz going to apologize for having once again jumped on the liberal bandwagon and pronounced Lewandowski guilty of violence he never committed and or claiming Trump caused it?
