Absolutely. He is a campaign manager, not a bouncer. If SS thought she was a threat, they should have taken control of the situation. There was no need for him to be involved, or so rough with Fields.
And had he simply privately apologized for his overreaction, we likely would have never heard about this incident.
Way too much drama from both sides.

So rough with Fields? What video did you see? He barely touched her, but did move her from her shoulder. It wasn’t rough. I get worse than that on the subway or in a crowded airport terminal.
I’m not a Trump or Cruz person (yet) but I agree that it should have been handled by the SS. Still, I don’t think Lewandowski overreacted. She was the aggressor, and not only approached Trump but touched him. She was redirected and not a thing more.
BS. This slip and fall reporter wanted her 15 minutes and would have loved to take Trump down. She underestimated Trump though and now she is trying to save face with the little pipsqueak Shapiro.
Why take chances? If he saw someone inside the protective bubble, physically touch the candidate, should he really wait around assuming someone else is going to act? In those few seconds, tragedy could strike and he’d spend the rest of his life wondering how he could’ve seen it coming and failed to act. No way.
BS to any apology.
You miss my point. The SS SHOULD have, and Trumps man shouldn’t have HAD to due to their lackadaisical response, both times.
And he wasn’t even slightly rough with that drama queen who has accused numerous people of the same thing.
WHAT “overreaction”? From the video, it isn’t even clear he ever touched hern
