If they prosecuted here, every secret service detail would be on the hook for every person they ever touch, redirect, or move away from the protectee.
Furthermore, there were about to be serious questions as to why Secret Service didn’t protect Trump from someone they told was too close, and who could still get close enough to touch him.
Trumps manager should not have had to have done that, the SS should have. Also, he was the first to tackle the guy who jumped the fence and charged Trump. Again, SS was last to act.
I have real questions as to how well the SS is actually protecting him. Replace Trump with Obama and ask what would be going on if Valerie Jarrett had TWICE stopped a threat that they should have, one of which actually touching Obama.
Something is wrong with them lately. Just think of the fence jumper who made it all the way into the white house and down into the east wing unimpeded.
All this tells me something bad will happen this election. The SS is no longer what it was a few decades ago. Their JFK and Reagan failures have been forgotten.
Absolutely. He is a campaign manager, not a bouncer. If SS thought she was a threat, they should have taken control of the situation. There was no need for him to be involved, or so rough with Fields.
And had he simply privately apologized for his overreaction, we likely would have never heard about this incident.
Way too much drama from both sides.
I agree. I thought since the beginning of this hoax that the Secret Service allowed Fields wayyy too much access.
