A bipartisan group of senators has asked NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to pull the league's 2017 All-Star game from North Carolina because of a law in that state that many say discriminates against gay and transgender people.
.
.
.
Sens. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., Pat Leahy, D-Vt., Cory Booker, D-N.J., Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., Patty Murray, D-Wash., and Mark Kirk, R-Ill., all signed onto the letter sent Tuesday. Kirk is the only Republican signed onto the letter and is running for reelection this year.

If America ever comes to its senses these folks will certainly regret standing up for allowing pedophiles to use opposite bathrooms.

men use men bathroom, women use women bathrooms, what is so frigging hard to understand for these mental midgets?
It is like that woman claiming she is black when she is really white, now we have perverts saying they are now women.

The Senate should not be threatening States of the USA for ordinary political differences. Obama seems to have set a bad precedent of turning political differences into vendettas against citizens and localities.

many say discriminates against gay and transgender people.... By not permitting perverts in women's restrooms? Our culture is lost.

Was listening to Fox n Friends in the car on the way into work this morning, just before 7:30 eastern and there was a guy on that was saying that if the government now starts to recognize that a person has rights who says 'I am a women' when they were born a male, whose to say that a 40 year old person cant say, in their mind, they are 65 years old? What if an 18 year kid says in my mind I am 25, now sell me that six pack of beer.
The government is saying if you think you are, you have rights to what you think you are - no reality check is needed.

Maybe that’s the way to protest this ... to do that in every state except NC - en masse!
To: kevcol
I stand w/ the voters of NC!
I heard this morning that the porn site "xhamspers" or something like that is also banning NC, so I say perfect.
Let's tie springsteen and little steven and bryan adams and paypal et al to a porn site. Afterall they have the same moral convictions!

Perhaps free enterprise can solve this by building multiple co-ed single use bathrooms rather than one large community room.
If the laws create a demand for that, the so be it. Out of protest they could even install locks on the inside of community rooms that the first one in could use if they want to get the gender privacy that a transgender law disrupts. Let people start standing on line and you’ll see just how fast the other states make a law like NC!

The perverts now permeate both parties.
Amazing how so many folks support the perverts.
It really is.
Of course most of these celebrities and politicians kids aren’t at risk of being accosted. Right.
Right?
Jedi.
