Donald Trump revealed part of his foreign policy advisory team and outlined an unabashedly non-interventionist approach to world affairs during a wide-ranging meeting Monday with The Washington Post's editorial board.

Kristol and the Endless War Party are going to have a coronary over this team
Good research, good information and relevant to the discussion, unlike some *other* posts that have been made in this thread thus far.
The uniparty interventionist will not like this.
Ruh roh. Wall Streeter and CFR fellow. This won't sit well with the Heidi-haters in the pro-Trump crowd.
General Keith Kellogg was commander of the 82nd Airborne among other things.
They are already rationalizing it.
Didn’t see Frank Gaffney Jr. of the Center for Security Policy on that list. Gaffney is perhaps the best national security/foreign policy adviser Trump could benefit from.
“The stink of Romneyism is strong with this one.”
No, he’s just an expert in his field. Anyone would want his advice. He’s a good guy. Not political, focus is all on terrorism.
Yes, but by the books he’s written, it looks like Walid Phares has a real problem with Islam.

However, we should not burden a son with the flaws or sins of his father. I do not believe that Ted Cruz adheres to the Christian dominionist views of his father. We cannot blame conservative parents for their liberal sons and daughters, either. Joseph Kennedy, Sr., was staunchly conservative, as were Hugh Rodham (Hillary Clinton's father), Howard Buffett (Warren Buffett's father), and James Earl Carter, Sr.
Gaffney has signed on as a Cruz foreign affairs advisor, but Trump listens to him and agrees with him.
He's a Lebanese Maronite.
IIRC, Frank Gaffney Jr. has already been announced as a consultant for the Cruz campaign.
Could you expand on the meaning of the stink of Romney-ism? Romney sure stinks but does that necessarily mean Phares is stinky too? I’ve not read anything bad about Phares but I certainly am not all knowing.

I have read that Trump communicates with Gaffney.
It was just CDS bait in return for other FReepers.
Jes’ Funnin’ witcha.
Thanks. I haven’t been back on FR for that long (was gone for at least a year) and right now my nerves are very tightly wound.
It would do me good probably to quit reading news for 3 hours a day but it’s hard to stop.
There is a huge amount of distrust and animosity right now between the Trump and Cruz camps, which I find disheartening.
First, we need to support the eventual nominee against Hillary, no matter whether it’s Trump or Cruz.
Second, it’s mathematically Trump. Everyone needs to get over that.
Third, Cruz isn’t the evil guy the Trumpians make him out to be (watch me be attacked for merely mentioning this.)
Fourth, the fact that a comparative populist can take over the GOP compared to either an Establishment (Bush) or Conservative (Cruz, watch the attack, again) candidate is historic. We conservatives need to internalize that fact and play accordingly in the future.
Fifth, since it’s already over and my guy (Cruz) lost, there’s no reason to get your (read: “my”) undies in a bunch.
Welcome back. Relax. Our part is over.
Trump is going to eat Hillary for lunch.
We all know what you mean!
CA....
Are you talking about the Richard Haass, who is the president of the CFR, who is a member of the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberg Group, who was appointed special envoy to the State Department by Barack Hussein Obama, and who Trump "respects", "likes a lot", and met for a private off-the-record meeting?
That Richard Haass?
