This week, in the Utah nominating caucus, I will vote for Senator Ted Cruz.
Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these.
The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Senator Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible.
I like Governor John Kasich. I have campaigned with him. He has a solid record as governor. I would have voted for him in Ohio. But a vote for Governor Kasich in future contests makes it extremely likely that Trumpism would prevail.
I will vote for Senator Cruz and I encourage others to do so as well, so that we can have an open convention and nominate a Republican.

Well, Cruz thanked him for the endorsement, so is Cruz’s plan also to vote for Kasich?
They're calling it a Presidential Preferance Elections, which are to be held at the caucus meetings. Yesterday was the cut-off for republicans to register to vote online. Dems need to go to the meetings to vote.

Come on Cruz. Realize you’re not the best messenger for a reversal from Obama’s disastrous tenure. But you ARE capable of creating brilliant Constitutional solutions to our problems.
You two guys are LOATHED by the establishment—but are appreciated by the grass roots everywhere. You can remake the party of Lincoln, Eisenhower and Reagan into a vibrant party again! Pull us away from the relative liberalism of Dole, Rockefeller, and Bush....

Trump will lose Utah and he can afford to, it’s not a big deal.
Arizona is more important. More delegates, winner take all.
Don’t get your hopes up about Utah, Cruz will probably win. It doesn’t matter. After Utah and Arizona, there’s WI, NY, CT, MD, RI, PA, and a whole slew of states that Cruz is going to lose by a huge margin.
Let him have his Romney endorsement and his Mormon win in Utah, and he can figure out later if selling out to Romney and the GOPe was worth it.

Utah is next week Mitt is helping Cruz win in Mormon country, then he can bragg he helped Ka-Sick win in Ohio and Cruz win in Utah. Mitt will say “look how relevant I am”
It's more like Romney left Kasich for a quickie with Cruz. He'll be back supporting Kasich. Until he dumps him.
