Perry county just came in with a 100 Trump margin. Trump at +2600. 83% of St Louis County in, 89% of Jackson. Trump has a 2,000 lead in the former, Cruz a 2,000 lead in the latter.

Good point, but I think it’s not just the vote, it’s the enthusiasm of his supporters.

One politically active person can be worth a dozen normal voters in regards to volunteering and talking with neighbors.

And whereas a bitter person can choose to reluctantly vote, it’s not as easy to make up for the enthusiasm gap.

Now that the primaries are all but over, I think I’m going to do my best to set aside my rancor and see if I can’t mend some fences with people. Or I’ll try.

However, there are those on this forum who will probably refuse to let go of their bitterness no matter how kindly they’re treated, though; I expect that some of those will get the zot.

Trump has been talking with the party bigs. Maybe he says OK, get off my back and I’ll raise my own general election money, so you can focus on keeping the House and Senate and helping downticket races. Why wouldn’t they go for it? Otherwise they get Cruz, who won’t deal with them at all, or they tear the party apart through trying to hijack the convention which will have BIG implications on the other R races.
