Sen. Ted Cruz said Monday that GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump views protesters as disloyal people worthy of punishment and that the best response to Mr. Trump is to defeat him at the ballot box, reiterating his own pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee in the fall.
Mr. Cruz re-upped criticism of Mr. Trump for recently having rally attendees pledge their support to him, likening it to an action kings and queens demand of their subjects.
Its also reflected in his treatment of protesters, where anyone whos a protester is disloyal and must be punished, Mr. Cruz told reporters in Illinois ahead of the March 15 primary there.
The only pledge that I am interested in, the only hand-raising that Im interested in is on January 20, 2017, when I hope to raise my right hand with my left hand on the Bible and pledge to each and every one of you that I will preserve, protect [and] defend the Constitution and fight for the hard-working taxpayers, Mr. Cruz said.

That is a question the voters are asking: At what point do we say enough is enough? Mr. Cruz said. If Donald Trump is the nominee, he is a disaster, and the answer is to beat him.

Well said. I agree with you.
I’m a Cruz supporter and can’t believe he is uttering this leftist BS. He is supporting the communist left and their guttural antics? WTF Ted, did you get kicked in the head by accident in the last four days and lose your walking around sense boy?
Ted had best review the 1st Amendment! He is a brilliant lawyer, I am sure he can figure it out. He needs to stop taking advice from Beck.
Cruz is and has always been a backstabber.
So, are people who are disloyal to Ted needing punishment then, using psychological projection?
Is this Dominionism? I don’t know enough about it to know for sure.
There are a few of us left. If Trump is elected I want to see a huge mea culpa from FR and the masses on here in 4 years after the country collapses.
Totally lost it.
I doubt that any of Trump's supporters would welcome Obama, Clinton, or Sanders telling their supporters to punch anyone who nonviolently disrupts their speeches, yet Trump's Chumps cheer him when he does it. By supporting Trump when he says such idiotic things you are setting yourself up for the same treatment from Democrats.
160 comments and just 2 strongly support Cruz and 1 mildly supports him. This says a lot more than Rush’s B S.
GoNO Ted Cruz!
There, fixed it for you. Canadian Cruz Liner calls Trump supporters "low information voters" while Trump sticks to simply pointing out that the Canadian Cruz Liner tends to steer off course for the sake of political gain, exposing the Canadian Cruz Liner as the establishment wolf in sheep's clothing that he is. Man, this Canadian Kool-Aid is worse than the Obama Kool-Aid in 2008.
“Dominionism” is a creation of the social left for the most part.
It assumes that when Christians urge other Christians to run for office that they are trying to take over the system and impose their brand of religion on everyone else.
Obviously, there’s nothing wrong with ANY American running for political office, and our Constitution acknowledges that God gives the right to free exercise of one’s religious faith.
And Cruz sees the Soros funded bully marxists as worthy of respect and tolerance. Get a grip Ted!
His original target voters have ditched him, so he's trolling for votes in more liberal waters now.
The more Ted tells us what he really thinks the more unhinged he sounds.
It’s like this. At $24T, we spin out of control so wildly that none of us know if we’ll be Zimbabwe for real. We’re probably going to $20T by mid-year next year.
At best, we put on the brakes and begin to turn this ship. Politics will get us nowhere. Business will, along with lifting regs and taxes.
I HOPE we pull back. I think we’re in that Wile E Coyote moment when we realize we’ve gone too far.
Some of us have looked down.
I support Trump because I recognize that he is one of ONLY two candidates (the other being Sanders) who are full bore anti-globalist.
We HAVE to make our own stuff. It will be expensive to do so, at least for awhile. However, people will have a lot of jobs to get us there.
I saw Detroit when it was monolithic. I don’t know whether we’ll have any other monolithic manufacturing sector, but I want to hope so. If we don’t, we’ll be toast and waiting for the trains to pull in.
Exactly.
I’ll try Levin again after the general election. I can’t listen to him. or his nothing but Ted rants with that whiney nasally voice. Thank me Mark.
