It seems like the only thing thats guaranteed in this years election is the litany of punditry after every primary. This undiscussed industry has helped make politics more blood sport than democratic exercise.
It seems to get nastier at every turn, as campaign flacks dressed up as journalists line up to savage candidates whose campaigns they see as a threat to their preferred politician. Some have even gone so far as to question my faith, integrity or party loyalty because I wont kowtow to their demands to step away from the primary process.
Is this what has become of politics in the worlds greatest democracy?
Whether establishment or outsider, conservative or moderate, a cottage industry has arisen around gaming and controlling the primary process. And that business is booming.
Unfortunately, these pundits have gotten too lost in the gladiatorial spectacle to see what truly matters: the will of We the People of America.

Ben Carson is nothing but a foil at this point.
Egg on Fox when Cruz & Carson win 1 state each, Trump 48, Rubio 0.
Call Racism if Cruz or Rubio tell you to get out.
He still influences the race, however small. I’ve no problem with that.
“Ben Carson is nothing but a foil at this point.”
You utterly missed the point of everything he said.
I could not disagree with your vapid intellectually shallow comment.
The blood sport he speaks of is stealing America out from under us.
A warrior for the American People, he refuses to be victimized.
That is not worthy of flippant derision.
“I could not disagree with your vapid intellectually shallow comment.”
Yet you know I’m right. Why else is he in the race? he’s not going to win anything. He knows it, you know it, and everyone who pays attention knows it.
Actually I think Ben is right, not you. He may lose substantially but he will have fought as hard as he could because of principle. That means more than a crooked win any day of the week. Dead fish float down stream and he is swimming upstream. It may be harder but the effort is a victory of sorts.
I concur. Ben has every right to stay in as long as his money and stamina hold out.
Exactly. Less intelligent men than him already realized they have no path to the candidacy.
Because he still has money for great hotels and fine dining, and books to sell.
Good for Ben...
This is a truly delusional, self-serving individual.
Other showing up for debates what campaigning is he doing?
He came in this for the money....a pyramid scheme.
I thought he just had another book signing.
Plus his wife has a book out too.
He’s doing God’s work as far as I am concerned. Ensuring Cruz takes third in many races is a great thing for America. God bless Dr. Carson and Donald Trump!
Karma!!!!!!!
Because he’s bored and likes travel? Hmm...what does his wife say about this?
