Indeed, as in previous states, Sanders won white voters focused on honesty, as well as those most concerned with a candidate who “cares about people like me,” by vast margins – 95-5 and 75-25 percent, respectively.

Blacks overwhelmingly saw Clinton as the trustworthy candidate, Sanders not.

She ain't in no ways Tah'd.

Interesting to see how she does in Southwest, or in Lily-white Vermont / New Hampshire / Maine / Great Plains...(not that there are gazillions of votes there anyway...)

She has a tremendous chance of winning because she starts out with 230 electoral votes, and people like Mrs. Bill.

“Yeah, Trump had to split the vote 6 or 7 ways”

That sounds like the GOP(e) excuse “ Trump only gets 35% of the vote. If it was Trump and one other contender he would lose”

As we all know, it doesn’t work that way.

“Hillary sure connects with black voters”

It doesn’t matter who the nominee is, blacks in the South vote 95% (plus or minus a few) for the Democrat; always have in modern history and before. I don’t know why Republicans spend so much money and energy trying to change the given.

I'm not following you. The freeper I replied to expressed concern that Hillary got more votes than Trump.

My reply to her was that Republicans had far greater turnout than Democrats in South Carolina.

The D vote was split 2 ways. The R vote was split 6 or 7 ways. The Hillary "lead" in votes over the two primaries is not anything to worry about.

South Carolina will be an R state come November, no matter who is at the top of the ticket. I think that will be Trump, but we'll carry SC no matter what.

What do you disagree with?

The really good news. Check out the voter turnout for South Carolina for the republican and Democrat primaries..looks over to 2 to 1 for Republicans, 738,640 vs. 368,137.

More Democrats voted for Hillary than Republicans for Trump but they only had two choices.

They can trust Hillary to keep on killing babies both black & white as a winner of the Margaret Sanger award.

Did anyone notice the Republican turn out is twice that of the Democrats?

that isn’t a fair comparison since there are only 2 D candidates. Remember, Trump had 6 or 7 to compete with. So, these numbers are apples and oranges.

Well, it sure would be great if the blacks were educated about how destructive the Demon party is to their lives. I would love to hear them tell us what good things the Ds have done for them over the years.

The bottom line is that Trump is having more of an impact raising turnout than Obama achieved in 2008. Hillary also got fewer votes than Obama 8 years ago when the race was split three ways (with Edwards) on the Dem side.

Trump was running against five other candidates; Hillary only one. The Republican voter turnout beat the Democrats by 2:1.

“Did anyone notice the Republican turn out is twice that of the Democrats?”

Yep. Record Pub turnout and lackluster Dem turnout in most states so far. It’ll sink to practically zero after Bernie withdraws.
