Wednesday on ABC's "Good Morning America," Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump told co-host George Stephanopoulos some of his first-day priorities should be elected president of the United States.
Trump, coming off a win a night earlier in the Nevada Republican Caucus, said rolling back President Barack Obama executive orders, including one dealing with the border and immigration, repealing ObamaCare and taking care of the veterans would be his priorities.
"Well, the first thing I'd do is knock out some of the executive orders signed by our president," Trump said. "Especially the one on the border where people are allowed to come in and just pour into our country like Swiss cheese. I'm going to work out immediately to knock out ObamaCare and start taking care of our vets and military ... our vets have been absolutely treated horribly and we're going to take care of our vets. That's been a very, very big part of my campaign, the vets."
Stephanopoulos pressed Trump on specifics, to which Trump offered some of his ideas on health care.
"Well, I've been specific in terms of the wall," he said. "I've been very specific in terms of ObamaCare, what I'm doing is very specific, whether we use health care savings accounts and that could happen because a lot of people are liking it a lot. ObamaCare is falling out under its own weight. It's going to be dead by 2017. People are not signing up for it. It's a disaster. The rates and premiums going up by 45, 55, 65 percent. And we're going to have great health care. We're going to make it a fraction of the cost and I'm very specific on it, George. I'm a very specific person, believe me."

Thanks for the link. I Trump would address federal govt tyranny and liberty.
The rules have changed, and that’s the problems with the Republicans.
They want to play by the old rule book, and every time the dems get into power, they play by the new rule book.
Don’t you get tired of getting your face rubbed in the mud?
I find it funny that when the R’s get back the senate, they change the rules back to “fair”. They hamstring themselves, and they do it by design.
If they can’t get anything done because of the rules, then they can’t be held accountable.
Dems, for all their faults, know the rules, they know how to get stuff done, and they do it. Reid will not bring things to vote, he will stifle debate if he doesn’t have the votes, he bends arms, etc. He knows the rules. It’d be nice if the R’s figured this out.
Obamacare was passed in the middle of the night, they changed the filibuster rules when they had congress, and they make executive orders hoping some will stick.
Driving a model T in a daytona race may look nice, but it won’t win races.
There is no reason we can’t all have good healthcare. The main reason we don’t is that the political hacks have been trying and failing to do it for our lifetime. They fail at everything. Trump says he wants to lock the best minds in the arena of healthcare together in a room and let them come up with workable solutions. I believe that is a good idea.
Here's the bottom line for those that are on the fence about Trump:
He says a lot of things we are loving. When he gets elected, he had better follow through. If he doesn't, it will tear this Country apart. On the flip side, if Hitlery or Bernie gets elected, it will tear this Country apart. There you have it. I didn't bother including Cruz or Rubio in this, because if either of them gets elected, it'll be mostly business as usual, and we will continue the course, albeit slower, to hell.
I would like to see more details on what he wants to do. Just exempting states from obamacare is not enough. A lot of what worked before is now gone due to obamacare and will take time to bring that back, if insurance companies and/or states are even willing.
Im backing Trump, damn right.
Mr. Trump just got my vote.
They weren’t Executive Orders.
They were policy guidelines disseminated by various Secretaries or Directors, eg Homeland Security and HHS.
Hey I agree its a mess and now rolling it back will be a mess. But its got to be done because the wheels are already mostly coming off and nobody is going to be able to make the premiums. If you don’t have it you don’t have it. So Trump is right it needs to be a priority from day one or there are going to be a lot of uninsured Americans that used to be insured.
Not if undoes previous unacceptable and unconstitutional ones.
So previous unconstitutional acts justify future unconstitutional acts?
Yes.
I have an idea. Force every senator, congressman/woman, and civil service type to use the damn VA and give every veteran their insurance immediately. That will give Vets great care at any private MD and/or hospital. Also all Tricare types can use the civil service plans for free, too.
Ted Cruz is not the only person to ever say that about Obama’s EO’s.
No, it doesn’t. The problem is not “bad” executive orders, but the fact that government by EO — changing the law by EO — is uncosntitutional.
Cruz says he’ll revoke all of Zero’s EOs on Day One — and work on passing his legislative agenda, the way it’s supposed to be done.
Trump says he’ll revoke all of Zero’s EOs on Day One (a bit late to that party, Don) — and “I’ll do good ones.”
But it’s the policy of trying to make law through EOs that is the problem. Cruz gets that; Trump doesn’t. And that worries me.
He said it long before Donnie did.
Cruz said the exec order on the 2nd amendment. Trump talked about the Exec order on the border andor illegals back then, too.
you should watch Trump’s speeches. He wants an open market where insurance companies and pharmas compete to make prices lower. He described Obamacare as being largely written by the big pharma companies.
Questions that I would like for all of the candidates to be asked are the following:
These are simple yes/no questions. Any other response is unwarranted.
01. ) Will you eliminate the Department of Energy? I do not mean simply transferring people to other departments within the fed-teat. I mean eliminating the department and eliminating the jobs. Make those teat-suckers find real jobs.
02. ) Will you eliminate the Department of Education with the same stipulations as 01. ) above.
03. ) Will you eliminate either the NLRB or EEOC. Those are repetitive functions. Repeat same stipulations.
04. ) Will you end 0bembacare. Things were working well before 0bembacare. Will you get the fedthugs out of the medical care industry?
05. ) Will you repeal ALL of 0bemba’s pen-and-phone illegal EOs.
06. ) I know that there are other departments that can be eliminated.
07. ) Will you deport ALL illegals.....every last one of them. No lawsuits, no special cases, no court dates. etc. Get rid of ALL of them, period.
08. ) Will you build a wall on the Southern border. Will you man the wall with machine-gun nests to discourage/make people think before they try to breach the wall.
09. ) Will you restore the US Military to dominance in the world?
10. ) What is your plan to help veterans? Will there be firings at the VA? Will you stop the extravagant lifestyles/”meetings” of VA employees?
11. ) Will you do your very best to completely eliminate welfare and make people go to work?
12. ) Will you have the rest of the world’s pucker-factor go off the charts during your inauguration speech?
Please advise on any additional questions that should be asked of all of the candidates. Please include other departments within the fed Goliath. The candidate needs to be David and kill Goliath.
