The Marco Rubio campaign is livid Thursday after the Ted Cruz campaign released a website that includes a photoshopped image of their candidate shaking hands with President Barack Obama.
Cruz’s website “The Real Rubio Record” ironically features a very unreal image of Rubio smiling ecstatically while shaking Obama’s hand. “The Rubio-Obama Trade Pact” the text ominously reads, a reference to Rubio’s support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The Cruz website also features a photoshopped image of Rubio smiling while leaning on a business sign reading “Closed.”
Among the red flags that the image is fake… who shakes with their left hand? Certainly not the right-handed Rubio.
The Rubio campaign was predictably less than amused. “This is how phony and deceitful the Cruz campaign has become,” Rubio advisor Todd Harris told a gaggle of reporters in South Carolina, while holding up the image in question.
The pushback comes after Cruz faced criticism for what his opponents termed “dirty tricks” in Iowa. In particular, Cruz was criticized for pointing out an official-looking flyer telling voters they faced a “voter violation” unless they voted for him, and for telling supporters to spread a rumor that Ben Carson was dropping out of the race.
UPDATE (11:13 AM): The Cruz campaign doubled down, telling CNN that they believe the image is authentic.

It is a half truth because Trump is NOT pro-choice now. Where in the video does Ted mention that fact??? If he doesn’t he’s obviously not speaking the whole truth. And he’s doing it deliberately. That is not cool for someone who wrote a book with the title “A Time For Truth”.
Trump has been for a partial birth abortion ban for sixteen years! Ted was a Canadian citizen up to sixteen MONTHS ago.
There is no logical or rational way to defend Ted’s misrepresentations lies and half-truths. And the consequence of him doing that shows up in the poll numbers and the blow out in NH.

No, we can’t. The Cruz ad photo mock-up is so obvious, no one in their right mind can actually believe it is meant to fool anyone. Which is why Trump supporters are all being fooled (couldn’t resist). Its either that, or you’re deliberately feigning both gullibility and outrage to score your propaganda points.
Not to be obstinate, but I’ve been reading a lot of these Trump/Cruz battle threads and I’ve noticed how you constantly propagandize for Trump and viciously against Cruz. No one can keep up with the sheer volume (both in quantity and decibels) of the arguments, but I can read and I can reason and reason has left the building. I can get plenty of aggravation anytime I want, so I’ll just pass on the “we can talk” thing.

Thanks for the pictures at your post 190. Honestly I don’t think it matters if the picture is genuine or not. But glad to have your proof. The concept is the same. Rubio had the same talking points as Obama.

Look, I bought Ted’s book. I actually thought he was different, that he was truthful, like the title said. I thought he actually was principled. IA proved he’s a status quo politician. Ted hasn’t changed course, Jeff Roe is pulling dirty crap in SC.
Ted is neither principled nor truthful. It’s that simple.
I looked at each of the situations raised as blemishes on Cruz’s honesty very carefully and found ZERO. Trumped up, literally. You can site quotes of different people but the facts are the facts and I’m not going to rehash them.
You should be ashamed to be bringing a SNL sketch into it. You are joining in the character assassination of a good man. Its like what they did to Dick Cheney. Guy never hurt a fly, but they kept repeating over and over again that he was evil, mean, vicious, cunning etc. until they literally turned the public perception of the man into something unrecognizable. I don’t agree with him on some things, but he was a very fine Congressman, SECDEF and VEEP. Now I see you joining in a similar effort and its shameful.

So, is Todd Harris is the LIAR, or is Marco Rubio the LIAR, or is it BOTH OF THEM ?
Maybe, but maybe not, depending on context, I guess. I mean, Cruz and Rubio are both sitting U.S. senators, so I would kind of expect there to be real photos of both of them with obama floating around out there. If a real, or photoshopped, one were used to illustrate the truth that Cruz made a deal with obama, then so be it. It would serve him right for getting cozy with the _resident.
I was half messing with you, anyway. It just sounded funny that you said photoshopping a handshake was crossing a line, after the huge amount of vitriol we've all already seen in this election. Like you were clutching your pearls over it (I know you actually weren't, I promise!), which is what Cruz supporters get accused of pretty often.

But you know as do all, that Trump wants the media and he will create events and situations in order to keep the media engaged WITH HIM...good bad or neither the ca,era's must be rolling on Trump....THEREFORE he leaves himself wide open for ridicule because he does say horrendous things, insulting things etc...celebrities do that...and that's what he does...act.
Also, stop putting words into my mouth I've never said nor have I implied....that's exactly what some of you Trumpsters do because you're frankly paranoid. I've never seen the word “dumpsters” used for Trumps supporters until your post. Sheesh you guys just need to cool you jets!
But I do question greatly Trumpsters Conservatism...very much. ....and with very good reason as has been expressed time and again on the threads....by me and others as well.
Your candidate does not hold conservative positions...he supports socialized medicine/government funded healthcare.....touchback amnesty...big government and to increase it's scope....federal funding for planned parenthood....outlawing super Pac’s which is freedom of speech....he supports bail outs for banks......affirmative action....his tax plan is progressive...won't side with Israel....and the list goes on....
....these are NOT conservative positions...they are liberal positions.
Further and on a moral/social level...I guarantee you Cruz nor other candidates would be having ‘Booty calls’ for rallies...nor would they be boasting and comparing their having sex with many woman as....Trump... “It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave solider,”....when the man actually had 6 or more deferments from serving...not to mention his gambling casinos and the like...and he's on his third wife....
As you know there are three 3 legs of the conservative stool...physical conservative-social conservative-national security conservative. Trump does NOT stand the test...yet Freepers are supporting this man....mindboggling.
I’ll be honest with you: I did not see those statements. They make absolutely no sense when you look at the blatantly phonied up pictures. Nothing about looks real or like it is even an attempt to look real. I don’t get why the spox would say what he said, but I can say, no one looking at that picture can possibly think it was intended to fool anyone.
