Just when you thought the loony tornado of garbage surrounding the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had reached peak weirdness, along comes Glenn Beck to take it to eleven. Calling in to his own radio program Tuesday, Beck began by casually riffing about how God sent Hurricane Sandy mainly to screw Mitt Romney, but then moved on to his theory that Our Lord and Savior has taken Scalia off the board so Ted Cruz can get elected:
After I got past the "thank you (to God)" I thought "You're welcome.I just woke the American people up. I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, look at how close your liberty is to being lost."
You now have lost your liberty. You replace one guy and you now have 5-4 decisions in the other direction. Just with this one guy, you've lost your liberty so you'd better elect somebody that is going to be somebody on [the court] because for the next 30 years, if you don't, the Constitution as you know it, and Pat, I say this all the time. The Constitution is hanging by a thread. That thread has just been cut and the only way that we survive now is if we have a true constitutionalist.

Glenn Beck when he first showed up nationally on his radio show was an entertaining listen.... then he got on TV and just went off the deep end.

If the video quotes the headline, then why didn’t the article use that quote?

I did not know this. If so, it speaks volumes as to Rapahel’s commitment to Christ, or its depth. All suspicions confirmed.
If anything, the event swung the campaign back to the Democrats, who previously had two joke candidates and nothing to rally around. Now they get to campaign on liberal, pro-abort judges and racist GOP Senators who hate the black president.
Run Ted run, as far away from this wacko as humanly possible.

Here’s what I don’t get...
Beck has been pushing Skousen’s 5000 Year Leap for ages. A good read. But he insists that Cruz is eligible when Skousen, in his constitutional textbook, The Making of America, teaches that a natural born citizen is not foreign born.
Beck believes one book but not the other?
Makes me go, “Huh?”
Not sure why Beck doesn’t espouse this. I guess because it doesn’t fit the narrative. End justifies the means?

“To be a candidate for President of the United States, a person must be a natural-born citizen, or a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution.
This provision gave the American people the RIGHT to have a President who would always be one of their own native-born fellow citizens.
A temporary exception was made for a number of the most valiant patriots. It will be appreciated that there were many persons of foreign birth who helped to create the United States, and these would have been rendered ineligible for the office of President had this provision had not been inserted in the Constitution. Seven of the signers of the Constitution were foreign born: James Wilson, Robert Morris and Thomas Fitzsimons of Pennsylvania; Alexander Hamilton of New York; William Paterson of New Jersey; James McHenry of Maryland; and Pierce Butler of South Carolina.”
