Gun nut charged after cops find ‘distrubing’ arsenal near school

Guo Shou, 33, is accused of amassing enough deadly weapons and ammo to take on a small army, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

SNIP

In total, he was caught with 14 licensed handguns two loaded, licensed shotguns; one licensed rifle; approximately 45,000 rounds of ammunition for a variety of weapons; 225 pounds of smokeless gun powder stored in various containers and open to view; unassembled parts for an AR-10 and AR-15 assault rifles, three high-capacity magazines - one fully loaded with 20 rounds and each capable of holding in excess of ten rounds of .308 caliber ammunition - two Kevlar body armor vests, six Kevlar armor plates, one ammunition press, numerous primers, empty cartridges, and several other devices and components related to weapons ammunition.

"The defendant is accused of turning his apartment into an arsenal by stockpiling deadly weapons and ammunition - all laying in plain sight and unsecured,” Brown said in a statement. “It is extremely disturbing to find such a lethal arsenal of this magnitude in a residential community - especially one less than two blocks from an elementary school."

I’m looking for the “illegal” part, and I don’t see it.

You know what the most disturbing part of this article to me was? The licensed shotgun part. Is that really true? Do they need that in New York? I had to re-read it to make sure it wasn’t some guy in England.

“Enough to take on a small army”

Good luck with that.

Probably for the 225 pounds of gunpowder. That’s an awful lot to keep in an apartment building.

Speech and Firearms are the enemies of the Left.

The left also ignores the 10th. Federalism is anathema to the leftist big government ideology.

Meanwhile, they find a right to kill babies that "emanates from the penumbra of the general right to privacy" allegedly found in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. It's really evil ... to the left, the Constitution is just putty to be remolded in their own image and likeness. It has no inherent meaning, sets no real limits on government.

I’m ashamed to be in the same COUNTRY as New York City.

You should try being a resident in the same STATE, with their hands always in your pocket.

So? I fail to see the problem.

One problem, it was in plain sight in an apartment. He should have concealed most of it, buried, and have a token amount for the cops to steal (uh, I mean confiscate).

This is just more government “conditioning” of the masses. Agitprop——getting ready for their massive unconstitutional gun grab and it will be SO justified because of all the NUTS out there.

Perceptions are everything for Marxists——Schools/Arsenals/Gun NUT (trigger words)——lol——just a Marxist move on our Individual Natural Rights from God. The State hates God and the Constitution, particularly our Right to guns and to defend ourselves from the evil government officials/BLM/FBI/CIA/IRS.

The government agencies have left more innocent, dead bodies all over the states for over 60 years (William Colby/CIA/Church hearings) and it is their MO to put innocent people in prison and make them defend themselves through “court” as rotten, evil criminals remain “free” and become millionaires and are protected by our “Justice” system.

The gun parts were for AR-15 and AR-10 it sounds like. Maybe he had a couple of those deadly pistol grips.

Caught? Caught?

The Post implies there is something illegal with owning 14 handguns? And people are licensed...not the handguns.

The 3 20/30 round mags are over NY state’s idiotic 10-round limit, I believe.

If none of it is illegal to own, then this guy should have a compelling case against the authorities.

I don't know about NY but in MA, to have those firearms loaded and not secured is against the law. But, I imagine NY is far stricter than that.

So he is probably being charged along those lines. Unless any of the firearms prove to be stolen and not obtained according to NY's Draconian gun laws.
