A Republican National committeewoman from Nevada just proposed that not only is Cruz not eligible to be president, but GOP rival Marco Rubio isn't either.
Cruz's Canadian birthplace has been dragged through the press relentlessly over the last few weeks, but Rubio's birth to immigrant parents hasn't been discussed as much. Enter Diana Orrock, who not only serves the RNC, but is running for the Nevada state assembly.
She tweeted a link to an article by Devvy Kidd on conservative website News With Views. Kidd contends that because Rubio's parents were born elsewhere and weren't naturalized as citizens until he was four years old, he cannot run for the nation's highest office.

We need proof, i.e. documentation.
We’re not going to take his word. Trump has been asked to show his Mother’s Naturalization Certificate to no avail.
Well good for her. She’s wrong. Rubio was born on U.S. soil to parents legally within the United States. That meets the definition of natural born citizen, both as it was defined by common law where the term was derived when the Constitution was written, and also as adjudicated multiple times in Court cases, including rulings by the U.S. Supreme Court. This is not debatable or disputable. No one who states otherwise could even the most basic knowledge of this issue, nor could they have made even the slightest attempt to research it.
Ted Cruz was born to an American mother - there is no evidence he needed to go through a naturalization process to become a U.S. Citizen. So either he was a U.S. Citizen at birth, or he is not a citizen at all. If the latter, he is not eligible to be a U.S. Senator, either - and would be an illegal immigrant and need to be deported to Canada. Is anyone actually making this claim?

Pretty powerful and easy to understand presentation about Cruz and Rubio’s eligibility to run for POTUS.
I even started a thread with the link.

Unfortunately yes they could...and probably have...if they were legally in the U.S. at the time of the birth. If they were both illegally in the U.S. at the time - that matter has never been fully adjudicated. But that is not the case with Rubio - his parents were both in the U.S. legally at the time of his birth.
How appropriate. Donald Trump was born on flag day, June 14.
GO TRUMP!
OK

Thanks!
“This proves that Trump is a liberal.”
Sorry, according to the US Code that is not correct.
A citizen at birth is a natural born citizen and has never needed to be naturalized.
According to U.S.C Title 8 Section 1101 - Definitions (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1101) subsection A part (23), the term “naturalization” ONLY occurs after being born. Thus a person who, by the circumstances of their birth is a citizen, and never needs to be naturalized is a natural born citizen.
It is organic to a nation state to define itâs boundaries as well as itâs citizens. Every nation does this. The US Constitution vests the authority to determine the rules of naturalization - which includes all rules, with Congress. This is specifically enumerated in Article I Section 8.
Thus Congress is vested with the authority to determine who are aliens and need to be naturalized in order to be a citizen. It also is vested with the authority to determine who is a citizen. Some are citizens via naturalization, some are citizens AT BIRTH (the at birth is important). Congress has addressed this issue by determining who is a citizen at birth. The current state of the law is addressed in Title 8 section 1401 - Citizens at birth (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1401).
Under subsection A of that code, all who are born on US soil are US Citizens at birth and having never been naturalized are therefore natural born citizens
Under subsection G of that code (even the prior version), all who are born to at least one US citizen parent, as long as that parent has met the time requirements for residence inside the US, is also a citizen at birth. And like subsection A above, have never been naturalized and are therefore natural born citizens.
like your definition.
Diana Orrock is right on both counts. Cruz and Rubio should both drop out of the race to show their solidarity with the Constitution.
Besides, if either one of them made it to the nomination, they’d have their eligibility challenged in court by the Dems. It would go all the way to the Supreme Court, and miracle of miracles, the leftists on the court would finally side with the Framers.
There is simply no path to the White House for either of these candidates.
That too. Add to that how stupid the Trumpkins are, and not only is Trump Liberal, but he's also an Orange Clown as has also been pointed out.
No one who is an Orange Clown, where there is GROUND GAME, is not liberal.
Therefore, Trump is a traitor and a narcissist and would appoint Michele Obama to replace Scalia.
Lazy. Look it up yourself
March 10, 1942, issued a naturalization certificate by the U.S. District Court at Brooklyn, NY.

thus, hypothetically, does this say a naturalized citizen, who joined the army, fought and earned the medal of honor in battle for America, would be ineligible, while a baby born to a communist chinese national here on a vaction trip, would be? man oh man.
