"We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. His bed clothes were unwrinkled," said Poindexter.
"He was lying very restfully. It looked like he had not quite awakened from a nap," he said. Scalia,79, did not have a pulse and his body was cold, and after consulting with a doctor at a hospital in Alpine, Poindexter concluded resuscitation would have been futile, He then contacted federal authorities, at first encountering a series of answering services because he was calling on a weekend.

***It seems to be the body would move while having a heart attack***
It would depend of it was a MI or sudden cardiac death. Now I have seen a person have a massive heartache and go into cardiac arrest and yes it is similar to a convulsion. So the covers would definitely be disturbed. And he probably would have had foam/secretions around his mouth.
Sorry for the graphic description but that’s been my experience.
Maybe. I hope it was natural causes. Given the unusual deaths that seem to follow the trail of MarxoDemoProggies it does make me wonder.
Autoerotic asphyxiation—strangling or suffocating themselves to heighten sexual arousal and orgasm?
Not necessarily
He could have had massive total heart block.....conduction cutoff between atrium and ventricular halves down the HIS pathway
You go down like dropping a towel on the bathroom floor
Total utter collapse which on a bed meant nothing moved especially if already on his back
A arterial blockage to the heart muscle can also be just as sudden and overwhelming especially in ones sleep
My grandfather was found slouched with lucky strike burned down between his fingers and newspaper in his lap....no struggle by his housekeeper on the veranda after breakfast in 1962
He was almost 80 and it was his time
A fine death to a stellar life in all probability
Massive transhemispheric stroke or a true pulmonary clot or sudden ruptured aorta north of the big bend can also result in CSD
CARDIAC SUDDEN DEATH
everyone doesn’t mimic Fred Sanford or Phil Leotardo and their TV heart attacks chest clawing and screaming
***Why no autopsy?***
What changed? An earlier report stated an autopsy had been ordered. Regardless of his age or medical history because of who he was there would be an autopsy.
My sister n law died of pulmonary fibrosis, was on hospice, and some dumb @ss doc wanted to order an autopsy because she had fallen before she went to the hospital. I explained to the doc that she had fell because she was in the early stages of dying and falling is very common in the early stages. Plus there were witnesses who saw her fall and she never hit her head she just just slid down because she wouldn’t use her walker.
In 9 yrs that was the first time I had seen any doc try an order an autopsy on a pt on hospice. But Scalia was not on hospice, and he was a Supreme Court Justice.
There should definitely be an autopsy.
However, the report was soon corrected to state that Rockefeller actually had the fatal heart attack in another office he owned in a townhouse at 13 West 54th Street in the presence of Megan Marshack, a 25-year-old aide. After the heart attack, Marshack called her friend, news reporter Ponchitta Pierce, to the townhouse, and Pierce phoned an ambulance approximately an hour after the heart attack. There was some speculation in the press regarding the possibility of an intimate relationship between Rockefeller and Marshack. For example, long-time Rockefeller aide Joseph E. Persico said in the PBS documentary about the Rockefeller family "It became known that he had been alone with a young woman who worked for him, in undeniably intimate circumstances, and in the course of that evening had died from a heart attack.
In my use here, “gas light” (Charles Boyer tried to make Ingrid Bergman look insane in 1944’s “Gaslight”) means they are playing with us to control us (or scare some of our “leaders - same principle), yet he still died of natural cause.
Yep.
The same with my Dad. It was around 9:00 pm and he said he was tired and went to bed and that was it. He had a peaceful look on his face.
God bless them.
They are two different men with the same name.
Itâs all on how your interpret âOVERâ his head.
Exactly.
Yes it depends on if it was sudden cardiac arrest due to a major coronary artery blockage (widow maker), sudden cardiac death, or just and MI. Depends on the severity.
Doesn’t take long for a body to be cold.
I’ve not felt well and laid down fully dressed. If one passed within minutes then no tossing and turning. I sometimes pull sheets totally over me, including my head and sometime put a pillow over my head.
Saving. Putting these on my book list.
“Doesn’t take long for a body to be cold.”
Depends on the ambient temperature, I think.
Amen
Even in the heat of South Mississippi, it doesn’t take long for a body to be cold. In an air conditioned room rigor can set up within a few hours.
Here they are; I'm sorry for my mistake. On the left is the Admiral John Poindexter who defended the arms and drugs sales to fund the contras. On the right is the Houston businessman John Poindexter who owns the ranch where Justice Scalia passed.
After multiple posts attacking this man, a veritable Jihad out of nowhere, you realize the mistake but still leave a smear on the table.
Lt. Colonel North, Admiral Poindexter and Generals Secord and Singlaub were four patriots who went out of their way to get Reagan's foreign policy objectives implemented, principally keeping the Contras funded during the times that they were thwarted by the Communist US Congress ( overstepping its Constitutional role ) and upholding the Monroe doctrine.
Nowhere did any of these four admit to or defend anyone running drugs, that is Communist and left-wing American propaganda aimed at harming the Reagan administration. Nor would it make any logical sense. First of all it would be the simple way to fund the Contras, much easier than the hodgepodge of brokering obsolete plane spare parts and 3rd party donations that they had to do. Secondly, if you think any of those four men would risk something like that, which could easily touch the President, you are nuts.
Drug running was definitely a means of funding for the enemy of the Contras - the Sandinista regime, including Humberto, the brother of Daniel Ortega. This was in the news years before "Iran/Contra", the circa 1984 WaPo and NYT stories are available on the web. Drug running also was likely a source of revenue for some of the Contras themselves, as they are for everybody outside the USA who want money from Americans who spend freely on such things. The mistake is labeling that Sandinistas or Contras equates to drug running, when it is opportunistic individual people doing what they would always do regardless of the existence of either group.
It is most likely true that Langley operatives deal with drug dealers, in the same way cops do all the time. But once again, equating the entire agency with drugs or prostitutes or murderers is a terrible smear. It smacks of simpleton headlines in the leftwing media. But the most evil smear of all is dragging those four guys, incredibly accomplished patriots, into this whole thing when they most likely went to great lengths to avoid tying the old man to something that could damage the administration. This is conduct unbecoming a FReeper.
The communists were very good at gaslighting, they pretty much invented it. They used their friends in our media and especially the idjits on our college campuses to seed the public discourse with propaganda. This is how bogus stories about KAL-007 as a spy mission saw the light of day, diverting attention from the cold-blooded shootdown. And if you're old enough you might remember how they tried to plant seeds of doubt about the Apollo landings on the moon, a twofer that hides their technological incompetence and takes a shot at Nixon at the same time.
how did people ever live without them!!
i’d vote for him :)
