It’s not every day that anti-war groups find themselves cheering on leading Republican presidential candidates. But, then again, this hasn’t been a presidential campaign that’s stuck to the script.
The morning after he called the Iraq War a huge misstep and argued that President George W. Bush lied to get the country into it, Donald Trump has earned praise from, of all places, Code Pink, the group best known for protesting the Iraq War and subsequent military interventions.
“I watched the debate last night and LOVED IT,†Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin said in an email.

Well, I’m not a member of Code Pink and I think the Iraq war was a sham.
Vladimir Putin, Paul Krugman, Elizabeth Warren, Jimmy Carter, Code Pink. An impresseive list of endorsements for Donald Trump, don’t you think?
Now comes the “well I agree with Code Pink, too” brigade of Freepers. What happened?
The pinkos understand who Trump is.
It was.
And anyone here that looks at the thousands of Americans killed, a nation that is now part controlled by ISIS and Iran, trillions in the toilet, and not one damn WMD, is nothing more than a pig-headed mule.
I fully admit I was for it back then, and taunted lots of leftists about their opposition, and I fully admit I was wrong.

I think Trump should have gone even farther, and laid the whole sorry mess that is Iraq at the doorstep of the Bush1.

What tools you all are. Do you think Code Pink will back Trump, Hillary or Bernie in the General Election? So they like that Trump didn’t want the war in Iraq or that they want to put an iron in the gears of the Trump campaign?
I thought we were going to see democracy take over the Arab world. How wrong I was. Now I think their religion pollutes them from thinking for themselves and being self-responsible.
I work with someone who was at Haliburton during this time and she said the checks to them from the government were shocking. She got a very negative impression of the whole thing.
