Lawrence Sellin, Ph.D. a retired colonel with 29 years of experience in the US Army Reserve, argues that Senator Ted Cruz entered the United States illegally as a child in 1974. His parents failed to file a CRBA form which is required by US law. Tedâs parents did not fill out the required form until 1986.

Diplomats, yes, military on US territory, yes. Foreign soil, no.
“He can fine himself when he is president and then issue himself a work permit.”
That’s hilarious!
It’s like electing Hillary, and then she can pardon herself from the crimes she’s committed.
It means not only is he NOT a natural born citizen, he might not even be American!
Look. He was born in 1970.
He voluntarily relinquished his Canadian citizenship in what, 2012?
These two facts alone show he IS NOT an American. Canada DID NOT recognize dual citizenship until 1977. Had he EVER been an American, well what do you know, he wouldn’t have had to cancel his Canadian citizenship, as it didn’t even exist!
“This explains why Rafael chooses to only deport criminals.”
That’s an interesting point. Makes a lot of sense.
I assume all overseas US military bases don’t have maternity facilities? And not all US military personnel overseas are assigned to bases. So some percentage of mil offspring get birthed on “foreign soil” I’d think - in foreign hospitals. So we need to allow for that.
HE produced his mother’s BC proving that he was born to a US citizen
Cruz WAS NOT born of TWO American parents and WAS NOT born on American soil. He is NOT a natural born citizen.
If I were a Cruz or Rubio donor or financial supporter, Iâd be pissed off to have been bamboozled. They never shouldâve announced until holding in their hands paperwork absolutely declaring them as âeligibleâ.

I sent Cruz money before I knew he was a Canadian.
Shame on me for not knowing, but it never occurred to me that after the Obama debacle, a Republican that was born on foreign soil would think it was a good idea to run for PRESIDENT.
The idea that the child of a US citizen is not a US citizen is insane.
Would you be pissed off if you supported an undeclared Democrat?
“There is no 3rd type of citizen.”
Actually there is... Non-Citizen
See post #359 for an explanation of what happens for military born overseas.
They are usually told to go home to have the baby if they want to preserve NBC status.
Where is it? I have only seen his Canadian Birth Certificate....
North Dakota governor Thomas Moodie was removed from office because he was ineligible per the state constitution. Moodie had not been domiciled in North Dakota for the requisite time.
“Cruz is a good candidate.”
That’s not even the point. He could be absolutely perfect, but the hornet’s nest the issue creates will be the Democrat’s dream come true (I had a different phrase, but it’s borderline naughty) if he’s the candidate. We’d be in be in a state of chaos for months, in and out of court, having the air waves inundated with disgusting lawyers being interviewed by talking heads. It would be 24/7. A repeat of Gore-Bush in 2000.
There's a body of legal thought that she will be able to do this. The only recourse would be impeachment and conviction by Congress. But the MSM would be screaming that it violates the "will of the people" who just elected her.
Ok, that is what I thought. You can travel away from your residence for short visits.
What is described in post #359 is a naturalization process.
Not natural born citizen.
No, but that is not the worst threat we currently face.
Your concern about protecting article II at the expense of far greater constitutional matters is the equivalent of "a nickle holding up a dollar."
Otherwise known as "Penny wise, and Pound foolish."
Yes, article II is an important constitutional provision, but compared against the much larger stack of far more important constitutional issues, it is trivial.
Trump may meet article II, but will he appoint rational judges? Will he appoint more judges that give us law like "gay marriage"?
I think he will.
And by the way, Hillary and Bernie are both "natural born citizens", but would they be better for protecting the Constitution than Ted Cruz?
