Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday that Donald Trump lost the Iowa caucus because his criticism of Ted Cruz made him sound "like a liberal Democrat."
"I don't think Trump skipping the debate had a thing to do with what happened last night," began Limbaugh. "This is a Republican primary. It's Iowa. Conservatives win in Iowa."
"Donald Trump, I don't know if you forgot - one thing that everyone remembers - he went out and tried to criticize Ted Cruz," explained the talk-show host.
"Ted Cruz isn't the enemy," he continued. "Hillary Clinton is the enemy. Ted Cruz is not a nasty guy. Ted Cruz is not a Canadian."
"Nobody is going to believe that, especially when you offer that criticism sounding as though it could come with Bernie Sanders. In a Republican primary, you do not win if you're going to sound like a liberal democrat criticizing Ted Cruz."

Huckabee, Santorum, Cruz. What do they have in common?

I didn’t turn Rush on today but I hear that he’s pumping Cruz & Rubio and tearing down Trump.
I’m so done with Rush.

Trump strayed from his message to attack Cruz and it cost him.In the primary I need to be convinced why I should vote FOR someone, not AGAINST someone else.

Clinton is the enemy which seems lost on both Cruz and Trump camps and some on here who keep posting negative articles on either one and then posting positive to try and back their guy up.
Course this will be lost on those who do this , though not lost on the establishment who wants this fighting to do done while they get their guy in pole position. and yes you know who you are.
I am never going to vote for Trump
I am never going to vote for Cruz
Oh get over it for crying out loud and be happy we have two guys who are not the establishment, because while you do this Rubio and the left won’t need to dig up dirt they only have to come here.

This article just touches on it.
Rush can say a lot in 1:40.

We should feel sorry for Trumpy. Think how he must feel! He's a television star, comes from a well-to-do family, is married to a another super model, is worth billions of dollars, got hours and hours of free television time, flies around in his own 747, owns some of the finest real estate assets in the world, and has a career of buying whoever and whatever he wants..... and somehow he lost to a little ole, nasty guy, that nobody likes named Ted Cruz....

Since you are a Cruz supporter, what is he replacing Obamacare with? How is he going to cover the uninsurable who have coverage now?

And he also swears that Rubio is really conservative. Biggest disagreement I’ve ever had with Rush. He’s way off on that.

You are correct and I'm of the same mind. Still, not too bad for a first-timer running for any political office. I think I tend to forget that.
Rush is right, DT...
Drop the liberal criticisms of Cruz. You have many other things to talk about during the campaign.
To: lodi90
The difference is that neither Huckabee nor Santorum won Iowa after a month of being relentlessly attacked from all sides the way that Cruz was. Trump, the GOPe and the media threw everything they had at Cruz... and he still came out on top. Downplay it all you want, but Cruz's win was YUGE.
And Rush is right here. Trump was foolish to attack Cruz from the left... (1) on health care; and (2) on the notion that Cruz isn't someone who can cut deals with Pelosi and Schumer. It'll be interesting to see if Trump persists with this wacky strategy.
