Coulter, Mair debate what's best for GOP (Video)

Republican strategist Liz Mair and conservative columnist Ann Coulter debate whether or not Ted Cruz should be able to run for president.

LIZ MAIR, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: In 2013, you were out there saying Ted Cruz was a natural-born citizen and eligible to run for office. People can check my Twitter feed, I retweeted your tweet from 2013 today.

ANN COULTER: I changed my mind.

LIZ MAIR: Well you were right the first time...

Ann also said that Mitt Romney was the "perfect" and best Republican candidate.

ANN COULTER: He was, there was no Trump back then.

LIZ MAIR: And she kissed Chris Christie's backside up the wazoo.

ANN COULTER: Until he went bad on immigration.

LIZ MAIR: This is not. Yeah--

ANN COULTER: In fact, my ideal ticket is Trump/Romney. That's what I'm really hoping for. That's the dynamite combo.

LIZ MAIR: And that's the proof right there that you are in no way conservative, and in no way interested in conservative policy.

Thats idiotic...

jim is NOT going to ZOT someone based on a legitimate concern over Donald Trump. Im positive the Mr. Robinson has his share of concerns over trump as well... Anyone with a friggen working brain knows that trump has the potential to be a closet New York liberal (because when he WAS a new york liberal, he was a closet conservative?). Was he bull shi**ing then or now?

ANYONE who has no doubts over Trump is either a paid PR hack or should not be responsible for anything of any value.

We SHOULD be thankful that he helped decapitate the GOPe.. But that “Thank You” should not be in the form of voting for him over Ted Cruz in the primary.

The storm that sweeps in and decimates an overwhelming enemy naval force on the eve of battle is an opportunity to be taken advantage of... One dos not then turn around and vote for the storm for president.

If we do not pick Trump it will send the wrong signal to the GOPe. Even Cruz will give them hope.

It will not “send the wrong message”...

Trump is the storm of opportunity. We should take that opportunity to elect a constitutional conservative with a proven wil to take the fight to the socialists, even when the odds are not favorable.

By all means.. lets continue to use trump as a wrecking ball... BUT, lets also understand that he is not the president we want and trust. The ONLY guy in this Primary that even comes close to being one of us and understanding our cause, is Cruz.

YOU.... Know this to be true.

And as far as the message we send the GOPe... We would be telling them that folks who KNOW how to fight and are willing to use ANY opportunity to achieve our goals just kicked their effing asses...

You got it ass backwards. The real dumbass is Ann Coulter, who first of all swore that Ted Cruz was qualified to run, then turned round and swore that Ted Cruz was not qualified to run, then backed Mitt Romney to the hilt, then dated left wing psycho Bill Maher. I mean you can't make it up.
Ann Coulter is every bit as much a lunatic as Trump is.

Yawn. As the TDS does on Cruz supporters who can’t accept that Trump/Cruz is the best way forward, that Cruz can’t defeat the GOPe and would have trouble in the general.

hat Cruz can’t defeat the GOPe and would have trouble in the general.

Is that why Ted Cruz is killing Hilary Clinton by 7% in general election matchups, while Trump is losing to Hilary in RCP matchups averages?

I have no problem with a Trump/Cruz ticket.

But I'm voting Cruz in my Primary.

If it is Trump/Cruz:

How sweet will it be for Ted Cruz to be Mitch McConnell's boss as President of the Senate!

XLNT. Had not though about Cruz making McConnell behave or go to his room for being bad.

Trump supporters are all to happy to post and parrot Skeltor's praise of Trump as well as her flip-flop on Cruz eligibility.

If they want to take her side with Trump and side with her on bashing Cruz, then yes.

I'm all for that. I love Cruz, and don't have any problems with anyone voting for Cruz, except for those whose support for Cruz requires them to hate Trump with a passion. The GOPe needs to be defeated, and Cruz and Trump are the best people to do it. You can disagree on which one has a better chance to succeed, or which one is more conservative (I concede that it is Cruz), but they are the only two out there who can win and can restore conservatism to America. Illegal immigration is issue no. 1. After the border is restored, and a goodly number of the illegals are out of our voting booths, we can implement the other parts of our conservative agenda.

So, vote for Cruz in the primary, and come back to Trump after Trump runs the table. I am hoping he adds Cruz to the ticket.

Believe what you want. Trump can get votes that Cruz never will, and states that Cruz cannot. He can also win in spite of the sabotage of the GOPe, whereas Cruz will need more in the way of infrastructure to go all the way.

Mair is the idiot who, some months ago, was going to raise a ton of money to finance a massive anti-Trump ad buy. She put up a website to take donations, and tweeted that she had even put in $100 of her own money. After several weeks she had collected less than $6,000, so she took the site down. Now, she’s talking the same trash about running an anti-Trump ad campaign.
