Raising the bar for other cities throughout the country, New York City announced "strong" and "bold" protections for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals.
The new legal guidance, issued Dec. 21 by the New York City Commission on Human Rights, came as part of an expansion of the city's 2002 Human Rights Law, which protects against discrimination in a range of categories. The updated policy specifically protects transgender and gender non-conforming individuals from discrimination in areas of employment, public accommodation, and housing.

Just like the N word you have to have been down with the struggle to use it.
Under the incorporation doctrine, which says that selected provisions of the Bill of Rights (including freedom of speech) are applicable to the states through the Due Process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, it's not. When has constitutionality ever mattered to democrats? Liberals are thugs with a totalitarian streak a mile wide. Today, they have the power to compel obedience, they hope, and they will not miss this opportunity to stomp on as many honest people as they can.
Why in Hell does anybody choose to remain in New York?
$250K? Why stop there. Why not put the immediate family of the accused to death for such an egregious infraction.

Pretty soon, I’d say -
Obama is the “John the Baptist” for the Antichrist.
Look down. If you see a penis, you're a "he". Don't and you're a "She".
If you're one of the short handful that don't fit into either category, well, we'll figure it out on a case-by-case basis. A few thousand, out of 300 million, I think we'll be able to work around. No need to change the entirety of society for a handful of people, and the whims of a double handful more who are mentally disturbed.
Even more to the point, how does one tell which of the myriad (omigawd, how many ARE there now?) designations for peoples' aberrations a particular individual is suffering under on any given day?
We've already seen that school-age children (children!) get to pick - and change on a daily basis - what gender they identify with, all with no way to tell if they're serious about any of it.
I'm telling you, this can of worms does not have a screw top on it; once it's off, you can't seal it back up again.
How ‘bout “freak?”
I suggest a universal descriptor which proves to be always correct: Wack Job.
And, I hope it is used frequently and effectively on both the “people” with sex-brain cognition problems and NY politicians.
Be sure to note the addresses of those politicians voting for this law.
New York state people will know what to do.
It is long past time to Alinsky these POSs and make their simple minded lives miserable.
Wrong.
lawsuit troll, is all this is
Cring worthy That’s Pat SNL 90’s classic
The 14th Amendment has been interpreted over the years to apply the Constitutional restrictions on Congress to the legislatures of the several states.
Just to be on the safe side, maybe the gender-neutral “Hey, shi#$ead” is the way to go.
My new preferred pronoun is “Your Excellence”, but I am not going to tell anyone what it is.
I think “hey you!” is going to have a big revival.
hey dyke!
