During his campaign, Donald Trump has ridiculed a lot of people but no one more than Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who called him out on his track record of sexist comments in the first Republican debate.
Now Kelly is speaking out to say that the real estate mogul tried to win her over with some creepy correspondence before announcing his candidacy.
In a cover interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the 45-year-old journalist says The Donald used to send her press clippings about her from time to time, signed with his name, and call to talk about segments he liked on her show.
Kelly says she didn't know why Trump had taken an interest in her until he announced he was running for president last year, and then 'it became more clear'.
However, she says that Trump's attempts to get on her good side were pointless.
'I can't be wooed,' she said. 'I was never going to love him, and I was never going to hate him.'
The married mother-of-three spoke in detail about her infamous exchange with Trump during the first Republican debates, in which she confronted the candidate about his history of making demeaning comments about women.
In the interview, Kelly revealed that she actually came close to having to sit out the debates, since she became violently ill the morning of the live television event.
But knowing that her tough questions likely wouldn't get asked if she had to call in sick, Kelly says she powered through the debate despite her illness - hiding a blanket and a bucket to throw up in under the moderators' desk.

Is she pregnant?
Is she insinuating he tried to come on to her. No, I have not read the article. I think I would gag if I did.
HAVE YOU COMPLETELY LOST YOUR MIND, DUE TO YOUR IRRATIONAL HATRED OF TRUMP ?
I think she is Hillary’s right hand gal to attacking the candidates!
I haven’t heard about Megyn and Brit Hume, do you have a link or just the short version? ...or was it a joke?
Katie looks creepy as does the guy on the far right.
I hadn’t either!!
“Are you not troubled by the current corrupt GOPe that is helping the resident destroy our culture? “
Yes, the GOP has been worse than useless, they have collaborated.
I have been down the road before though, where I put my hopes on a political candidate, only to be disappointed later by how they perform in practice.
Just recognizing that Trump is a bigger risk than most, because he has never held office before - never been tested against the temptations of using the power of a political office to benefit himself, those who ingratiate themselves, or even to indulge his own emotional urges.
I don’t know how he will perform in practice. I hope for the best. He certainly has great potential. But he might have a serious flaw that will only come to light under test by fire.
If Trump is the nominee, I am behind him 100%, because we need a change. I stay out of the primaries. I am more confident in a well-tested Ted Cruz though. Trump is my second choice, now that Scott Walker is out.
I’m not a needy or bad behaving husband so no
I’m not a lot to put up with
The owner of Vanity Fair has HATED Trump for decades and has published all kinds of garbage against him for many years., They even have some sort of quiet war going on between them, because he keeps poking at Trump and saying that he has “stubby fingers”; whatever the hell THAT is supposed to mean.
(GASP !!! The forwardness of it all!!! Just like love letters are signed, eh, Meghan? Except these AREN'T love letters).
"I can't be wooed. I was never going to love him or hate him....."
Note the connotative trigger words and phrases in just two of the above quotes. She's using all the little words and hatpins in her bag of tricks, now, isn't she, to stick into her Trump voodoo doll.
This floozie is obviously sex-deprived and looking for something or other in all the wrong places.
I can't wait for Donald's push-back.
Leni
She sure sounds like a desparate system does’t she?
Of course we are always expected to believe the woman’s testimony aren’t we? That is, unless your name is Bill Clinton.
Hardly
This is a celebration of Kelly who is riding high
You really hit the nail on the head!
Kelly is truly far too full of herself and not nearly as smart, clever, beautiful, nor wonderful as she imagines herself to be. What she is, is a growing older bleached blonde, who deep down isn’t happy with or about herself.
He might even come out with the Britt Hume and her sex affair that got her the job on FNC to begin with...
She has more skeletons in her closet, and people will look for them, and then we won't have to say she's ‘a cheap date’ we already know she is....
No, it isn’t; it’s a HIT PIECE on Trump, by his many decades old sworn enemy, Graydon Carter.
Hey Kelly, if this were true, you should have said so from the start.
Megyn is really sold on her ownself.
Just be honest Megyn. It really isn’t that hard.
He knows she gets a lot of viewers so I don’t see Anything wrong there.
The article has a lot of words in it.. Most are about Megan Kelly and how well she is doing . There are a handful of words that detail Donald Trump and what he said about Kelly (which you and others were proud of at the time)
If someone wants to slam Trump I suggest they reverse that
Thank you! Often wondered about that at the time. Was it true? Just rumor? Mentor and his babe? a bit like Clinton and the intern?
One would hope he had better sense than to attempt to jump those bones. With a new, hot looking wife alongside him, consider the story a bit overstretched. MeKel:
Wishin’ and hopin’ and thinkin’ and prayin’
Plannin’ and dreamin’ each night of his charms
