Megyn Kelly claims Trump tried to 'woo' her before he announced he was running for president
Daily Mail UK ^ | January 4, 2016 | Ashley Collman

During his campaign, Donald Trump has ridiculed a lot of people but no one more than Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who called him out on his track record of sexist comments in the first Republican debate.

Now Kelly is speaking out to say that the real estate mogul tried to win her over with some creepy correspondence before announcing his candidacy.

In a cover interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the 45-year-old journalist says The Donald used to send her press clippings about her from time to time, signed with his name, and call to talk about segments he liked on her show.

Kelly says she didn't know why Trump had taken an interest in her until he announced he was running for president last year, and then 'it became more clear'.

However, she says that Trump's attempts to get on her good side were pointless.

'I can't be wooed,' she said. 'I was never going to love him, and I was never going to hate him.'

The married mother-of-three spoke in detail about her infamous exchange with Trump during the first Republican debates, in which she confronted the candidate about his history of making demeaning comments about women.

In the interview, Kelly revealed that she actually came close to having to sit out the debates, since she became violently ill the morning of the live television event.

But knowing that her tough questions likely wouldn't get asked if she had to call in sick, Kelly says she powered through the debate despite her illness - hiding a blanket and a bucket to throw up in under the moderators' desk.

And you know who usually was the one sending it? Some insurance salesman, or realtor. That’s smart.

You know, you learn something from Trump every time you see or hear him. This lady is clueless. I hope he doesn’t dignify her by getting upset, rather I would calmly point out the etiquette involved here that you and I have brought out in our posts.

Classless, ignorant lady who thinks she’s one of the boys.

“I just can’t understand why so many on this forum are kneeling before the looming disaster that is Trump. A former liberal, power monger, who will sell his soul or anyone else’s, to line his own pockets. He’s offered nothing tangible as far as a plan. Just one liners.”

Trump has never held public office, so he is a real wild card.

He could have a wild upside, a wild downside, or a mix of big positives and negatives.

I think that a big part of his appeal is his break from the status quo, which is so dis-functional that people are willing to take a big risk.

I also worry about the potential downside of a corrupt administration. But when push comes to shove, we both know that the Democrats are nothing but downside (it is not even a risk - its guaranteed).

Trump has a lot of potentially powerful upsides, like controlling immigration, cleaning out islamists, more favorable trade policies, and breaking through the tyranny of political correctness.

It is natural that people project their hopes onto candidates - it happens every election. Trump is exceptionally high risk/high potential return.

If the Clinton’s have anything on Trump, they’re smart enough to withhold it until Trump gets the nomination.

The story is also linked in Drudge. I read the whole vanity fair piece. What a self-congratulatory bimbo.

Her condition perfectly explains her behavior at the debate. She threw up all over Donald. Rude.

“Did Vanity Fair ask Megyn about her not-so-discreet affair with Brit Hume?”

Really?...when? and with whom else?

My wife is in my opinion much prettier than average and a rocking bod

And being a typical southern girl and master of passive aggression and the grand pout

But I am sure as hell not sick of her shite

I never will be

Her rose petals far outweigh the bitchy quotient

I think a lot of married men understand how it is with girls

It’s just part of it

With Megyn for me it’s not the bitch so much as the competition and ambition and validation chip on shoulders

Women just bitch about what bugs them

It’s how they are wired

And they are raised to think if they do right that happiness is an entitlement

Middle class white girls anyhow

We men just put up with it cause the good stuff makes it worth it

But again Megyn

She’s the man in her world just ask her ex

That’s the deal killer

Can you imagine where Lana Turner's career would have went with legs like that?

Yeah me neither.

Some Freeper said the other day she looked like she was leaning over to pass some gas in that picture.

Kelly and her handlers are on image rehab.

She is doing the vanity fair fluff piece (don’t attack her she’s a girl) and all the others in order to prevent any lasting damage as a result of her journ-o-list tendencies.

Trump's comments about blood coming out of her eyes makes more sense now doesn't it?

In the next debate, she she put the bucket over her head.

It was truly despicable to lead off that first debate with that feminist “gotcha” question. I’m surprised Trump would agree to another debate with that creature as a moderator.

Why don’t the Republican candidates grow a collective pair and demand a debate with Rush, Levin and Hannity moderating? — better yet, demand that those three moderate one of Hillary’s so-called “debates,” since Republicans have had to face a panel of hostile liberal buttholes every single time they’ve been out there.

“she she put the bucket over her head” should be “she should put the bucket over her head.”

Nothing like screwing up a joke with a typo... :)
