Donald Trump, speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), repeatedly said that Jews won't vote for him because, since he isn't accepting donations, they will not be able to control him with their money.
“You are not going to support me even though you know I am the best thing that could happen for Israel. I know why you are not going to support me. You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money,” Trump told a full auditorium of Jewish donors and Republican Jewish supporters. “You want to control your own politicians.”
This plays into anti-Semitic claims that Jews control the country with their money. Has he said this to any other group? Has he told evangelicals that they won't vote for him because they can't control him with their donations? No. Only the Jews.
It is totally bizarre that he would say something so offensive to Jewish voters. Furthermore, why would he ever tell any group of voters that they are not going to vote for him? If that's true, why did he even speak to them? It's a defeatist attitude.
I don't believe, on the basis of this alone, that Donald Trump is an anti-Semite, but these statements put his judgement into question.
Furthermore, he displayed stunning ignorance of what is going on in Israel. He said that once he is president, he is optimistic that with his deal-making skills he can bring peace between the Israelis and Palestinians in six months, or perhaps less, if both are "committted" to peace.

He also told them he would not make Jerusalem their capital. Cruz has said when he is President, he WILL make Jerusalem their capital. Our embassy there is in another city, so he means our embassy will be moved to their capital, Jerusalem.

I would not tell you how to vote. Cruz has fine qualities but he’s in with the unlimited H1Bs / cheap labor crowd. Trump rubs some people the wrong way but that’s one of the things I like about him. The herd with be thinned out soon enough.

I just posted he also said he would not recognize Jerusalem as their capital. All those Jews present have friends, so he can forget Jewish votes. Cruz WILL recognize Jerusalem as their capital which means our embassy will be moved to Jerusalem.

Ed Straker is a liar and libeler. Trump says a variation of this “I can’t be bought” riff in nearly every speech. It had NOTHING to do with Jews, or Jewish stereotypes. This makes me seriously question to veracity of American Thinker.
I know for a FACT that Trump has been sitting down with many wealthy Jewish donors and he has NOT asked for money for his campaign. I also know for a FACT that Maralago - his club - has a significant (>50%) Jewish membership.

Twist the context and you just make his supporters, Jewish ones included, more certain.

Did you watch the speech? I did. I find this article to be nonsense. Is it stupid for Trump to state the obvious and not pretend the group he is addressing will overwhelmingly support him when he knows they will not?

If your candidate is being eclipsed by Trump, maybe your candidate is a wimpy politician with nothing to offer the greater electorate?
Maybe you were hoping he would pander to Jews so you could be an antisemite yourself and say “see he loves jews, he’s not for you” or as is the case now, he didn’t pander to a Jewish group so you say “see he must be antisemitic, maybe he hates you too if you aren’t jewish”

You haven’t made the case for “everybody else” and totally made up charges of antisemitism won’t make up for your, or your candidates failure to poll well with voters.
