As France and the rest of the world comes to grips with Friday night's horrific terrorist attacks in and around Paris that claimed at least 129 lives, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is blaming tough gun control laws in France for the dimensions of the tragedy.
At a rally in southeast Texas Saturday afternoon, Trump told the crowd "nobody had guns but the bad guys."
"You can say what you want, but if they had guns -- if our people had guns, if they were allowed to carry -- it would have been a much, much different situation," Trump said, according to a Washington Post report. "I hear it all the time, you know. You look at certain cities that have the highest violence, the highest problem with guns and shootings and killings -- Chicago is an example, toughest gun laws in the United States, nothing but problems."
By making that comment the Washington Post observed, Trump doubled down on a message he tweeted in January, following a smaller-scale terrorist attack: "Isn't it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?"
As that dated tweet recirculated on Friday evening, the French ambassador to the United States, Gerard Araud, tweeted at Trump: "This message is repugnant in its lack of any human decency. Vulture."
What's your thoughts?

Totally agree. Also, a venue like that without armed guards is insanity. These people are dying and they can do nothing about it. What more proof do you need that a gun-free zone (All of France in this case) is a killing zone. Only the terrorists aiming at you have guns...except, of course, for the cops minutes away...driving to help as fast as they could while 89 people died. How many more must die for this insane idea? GUN FREE ZONES ARE KILLING ZONES!
Being armed probably won’t save you from a suicide bomber.
It will deny them the tactic of shooting as many as possible prior to detonation though.
France has screwed itself good. They are forced to conduct sweeps through the Muslim slums now, which will result in more rioting like they had in 2005. Win-win for the muzzies.
America needs to ban Islam from the country. Islam is not a religion, which means that we do not need to provide Islam protections under the Constitution.
Oh, the leftists are wringing their hands, as we know there are no peaceful practitioners of Islam. Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism all teach how to be better practitioners of their respective faiths. Only Islamic texts teaches Muslims how they are to treat & think of non-believers. Oppression, violence and murder!
Leftists are truly worried that their useful tool for power & control of Americans will be thwarted.

“This message is repugnant in its lack of any human decency. Vulture.”
More anger at Trump than the muzzies. Typical.
>>the French ambassador to the United States, Gerard Araud, tweeted at Trump: “This message is repugnant in its lack of any human decency. Vulture.”
The thing that is devoid of any human decency is the idea that victims had no control of the circumstances, had no means of mitigating the damage, and can be assigned no fault in their own actions.
Always maintain situational awareness. Assume the worst intentions from your attacker. Be prepared to fight and fight! Don’t ever quit until you are dead. A bullet wound is just an injury. Lying down and begging for mercy is fatal.
People ask, “what would you do with your little 7 shot concealment gun?” I say, “I’d take one or two of the MFers with me and if a couple like-minded men do the same, then the problem is solved.”
War is coming, you can see it and feel it.
This dated tweet thing is weird. People kept retweeting it and being “outraged” without looking at the old time stamp. They went to Trump’s twitter page and couldn’t find it among his current tweets (duh) and claimed he deleted it because he knew he stepped in it. Idiots.
I would have to respectfully disagree with you. While in part of a pack, yes, there may be tough guy bravado. Break them into smaller groups, then into pods of 3, then 2, then all alone? They are known to break down and piss themselves and outright beg and beseech like little girls. Take a few videos of that and pop it onto twitter and instagram. Then we’ll see.
Killing it at the source might have worked at the time of the Patriot Act but it’s too late for that now. The cancer has metastasized and has no singular source. And if you blow up the oil fields, you’re crippling economies worldwide. All we can do now is profile, which we are still too PC to do. Maybe Obama will spend a few hundred billions dollars to get the failure rate of the TSA down to 90% from the current 95%.
Even in the United States we have too many gun-free zones and cities. It might have made a difference in the restaurant, but even here, the concert would have been a gun-free zone. Perhaps promoters of such events should be required to have four or five strategically placed sharpshooter with rifles with scopes, if it is a gun-free zone. A properly placed head-shot would even prevent a suicide bomber from setting himself off.
Of course! That’s a no brainer. How many people shot back at the Islamo-Nazis? As far as I can tell ZERO. They only ones who did were the cops and by then 160 people were dead. Absolutely outrageous that a basic human right like self defense is constantly denied by the treasonists to humanity. Gun control does the exact opposite of what the treasonists say: It gets people killed.
Given the details of the tactics used, it’s not at all clear that an armed citizenry (short of a populace which commonly toted Uzi machine pistols) would have helped that much in this instance.
That is in contrast to the Kenyan shopping mall attack where a more broadly armed citizenry would almost certainly have decreased the total casualties — a lot of lives were saved in that attack by Kenyans who did have permits rushing to the site and providing covering fire for people to escape.
Yep. ‘Shelter in place’ only works after the attackers run out of ammo.
Can any public figure start framing this “ISIS crisis” as part of USA’s 200+ year war on Islam? Yes, we started fighting this against Barbary Pirates (”To the shores of Tripoli...”) in 1801! All the other western powers were bribing/paying tribute to the Islamic Pirates (jirza); USA was the one country to say NO and to lead the fight.
After the recent hiatus in our opposition to the Islamic horror, we must resume the fight!
After ya’ll shoot them; please pull those dam* Muslim
black masks off them to reveal their faces - to show
that they are SIMPLY men, after all.
About a month after the Colorado theater shooting there was a similar case in San Antonio. Guy walks into a theater with a gun. Another theater goer, saw the gun, confronted him, discerned that he meant to kill innocent people with it. There and then. So she took out her own gun and shot him
No one really hears about this. But in Texas, I am never terrorized about these things. I run through in my mind what to do when I’m in a crowd. And it’s not as if Texans are more virtuous than anyone else, not as if they’re not an enormous part of ushering in the Mexican invasion , they’re the worst offenders. By far, but they carry guns which they know how to use
Criminals know that
Um, no. Usually suicide bombers use deadman switches to detonate their device (if it's not detonated remotely by a confederate). The best snipers can do against suicide bombers is take them out when they are near fewer victims than otherwise.

Charming response from an “ambassador.” Considering during one of the Gulf Wars, Frenchmen were advocating digging up American WWII serviceman and dumping their bodies, it seems they’re living up to their reputation as nasty surrender monkeys.
