Alan Dershowitz Goes Off on PC College Culture: ‘the Fog of Fascism Is Descending’

On the opening segment of Thursday night’s Kelly File with host Megyn Kelly, author and professor Alan Dershowitz took to task the political correctness culture that has pervaded American college campuses.

On the heels of continuing developments from the University of Missouri — where the student Vice President today argued that the First Amendment incites a “hostile and unsafe learning environment” — Dershowitz admitted, “we’re seeing a curtain of McCarthyism descend on many college campuses.”

“It was the students at universities that first started burning books… they don’t want to hear diverse views on college campuses,” Dershowitz admitted.

Dershowitz dug in, noting to Kelly that “…it is having a terrible impact on the education of students.”

“It’s the worst kind of hypocrisy!” he declared, continuing:

“It is free speech for me, but not for thee. Universities should not tolerate this kind of double standard… If you’re going to be a college administrator or a professor, if you have tenure, you have to speak back to the students,  you have to call these things what they are: double standards, hypocrisy, bigotry, McCarthyism, and the fog of fascism is descending quickly over many American universities.”

Hey Dersh, explain to the world how you treated your first wife, Sue Barlach, resulting in her death. FUAD!

Yup, old Alan is quite correct.

Problem is , Alan is one of the ex progressive radicals who created the system that is producing these monsters to eat the hated conservatives, only to finds out that his creation has turned on him and wants to eat him and his buddies first.

University admin is loathe to put students in their proper inferior place cuz of EQUALITY OF VALUES:

Who are THEY to tell students to shut-up with their hoaxes..?

Since the value of all conclusions is the same HOW can you render value judgements...? That’s hypocrisy.

The diversity nazi students NEED to be subjugated, but since they never are, HOW can they revere the cowardly University leadership..?

So it will go around and around in a circle, like that, with campus radicals getting ever bolder.

For genuine Conservatives, that destructive mulberry bush is actually GOOD, since the epicenter of anti-Western Civ feeling is The University System.

And we know where IT is headed, now don’t we...?

What would The Left do if they heard Tea Partiers were being POISONED at Nascar races..?

THEY’D SIT BACK AND ENJOY THEIR POPCORN.

And so should we.

I agree, McCarthy was right. Scary thing is, is that many of these Twits will be running this country in a few years....just as the hippies of the 60’s are now.

I think the University of Missouri Board of Curators should step aside and turn it over to people of color.

They'll rob it blind and it will go belly up within three years.

Now that's Cloward-Piven I can get behind.

Free college?

We should pay these college professors that are dumbing down our students the $15 min. wage they want. That would make it a lot easier to allow for free college.

exactly. McCarthy was my hero. I mean, purging the commie bastards? He was more American than these commie pukes.

I know, right? Soon we get to avenge him again, but it has to be 100% this time, you don’t get the roots, in 50 years we’ll be doing this all over again.

He keeps saying 'McCarthyism." Joe McCarthy was right. The totalitarian Stalinist-Fascists at the colleges are precisely the kind of people McCarthy was fighting against.

It's very disappointing. Free speech on campus is the one topic that Dersh usually gets right, and it's fun to see the left-wing crowd writhe in torment at his comments. This time, he missed the target by a mile.

“All those little snowflakes are going to melt away.”

REALITY tends to do that to liberals, given enough time. Of course, not always (Jimmy Carter, for instance;)

The main problem is that college students have NO idea what communism is. They have never studied it so when you call them communists, it means nothing because they don’t know what it is.

First off, somebody please stick a (rhymes with stick) in her mouth, to shut her the F up (not Kelly, the intro to the piece).

Okay, I feel better now.

Ah, Dershowitz is right, as he often is lately, only he is morphing with Nixon and others of the past who sound so old school and ancient compared to the new thought, which is in reality, so old and fascist and communist in real terms. PC is a plague on our nation, and bit by bit, I'm feeling better and better about Mayor Daley (Senior), which I grew up under, condoning the flogging of these individuals (if you can call a collective “individuals”) within a measured response of their worthless lives. They had it coming to themselves, as do their offspring of these times. I say, let the games begin!
