Former U.S. Sen. Bob Dole has endorsed Jeb Bush for president and will serve as the former Florida governor's National Veteransâ Chairman, according to the campaign.
Dole said that while almost all of the candidates are his friends, he believes Bush is the most qualified.
Jeb has the proven leadership skills and executive experience needed to fix the problems facing our country from the anemic economy to America's weakened standing among world leaders, Dole said in a statement. Jeb's conservative reform agenda and forward looking vision on issues including 4 percent economic growth, defeating ISIS and taking care of our veterans are in stark contrast to Hillary Clinton s strategy to continue the failed policies of the present Administration.
I will do all I can to be helpful to Jeb s campaign, Dole promised.

Kiss of Death?
I think you mean Jumping the shark-
maybe the Jebster will get the cast from “Happy Days”
to help him
LOL
The only Republican soundly defeated by... Clinton!
No, Jeb doesn’t see the irony in being endorsed by a political cadaver.
He’s running a Zombie Campaign.
Elizabeth was the better choice to run than Bob.
It would if Jeb's campaign was still breathing.
Unfortunately, Jeb is running a Walking Dead Campaign that will not die.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) Trailing President Clinton by a wide margin in recent polls, likely Republican presidential nominee Robert Dole moved to shore up far right support yesterday by signing on as the first co-sponsor of the Senate version of the Defense of Marriage Act. The anti-gay legislation bars federal benefits for same-sex couples while allowing states the right to refuse recognition of such marriages that are recognized in other states. “The intolerant wing of the Republican Party is rearing it’s ugly head again,” said Richard Tafel, executive director of
Log Cabin Republicans. “What Dole is missing here is that he already has deep support among religious conservatives. There is a growing perception of the GOP Congress as intolerant, and Dole’s action yesterday only enhances such a view.”

We call them tone-deaf, out of touch, insulated, and so forth, but stuff like this illustrates in stark terms just how disconnected the establishment elites are from the rest of America.
They honestly live in a different world than we do, and have almost no understanding of how we feel, how we live, nor what we think.
It's why Jeb says such jaw-droppingly stupid things. They make perfect sense in his rarefied, artificial universe, but translate into complete nonsense in the real world.
I was an apolitical non-voter at the time, and even I had that sense about Elizabeth Dole.
Hah! Dole’s endorsement = the kiss of death.
Well, Jeb’s slogan is “The Right to Rise.”
Same thing.
Ascend Jeb. Lol. More like ass end.
If the right candidate had run in 1996 Clinton could have been beat. Dole was not the guy. Hell Steve Forbes would have been better.
Dole was so bad I could hardly believe we had to vote for him. But it was his turn.
Yawn
He's going to be 93, for goodness' sake! He's ill, frail, gaunt and confined to a wheel chair.
Take the endorsement for what it's worth.
If Dole-e is lucky, he doesn't have to sing "Happy Birthday" to remember his own name.

In other news... Bears poop in the woods...
Senile.
Jeb is a sinking ship, pretty weird to see someone jump on.
+1
Rare indeed.
Bob Dole is yesterday’s news.
