Exclusive: Ted Cruz's Warning To Donald Trump: "Policy Differences" Coming Soon
CBN ^ | October 22, 2015 | David Brody

Posted on 10/22/2015 6:49:14 PM PDT by Isara

In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Ted Cruz says he has a plan to begin highlighting, “policy differences” between him and Donald Trump. “There are plenty of policy differences and there may well come a time when we start highlighting those more,” Cruz tells The Brody File. “In a political campaign there are seasons and phases to it…as the race narrows down, as people start making choices, we may see some more policy contrasts.”

Cruz has been climbing in the polls and has the money to make a serious run at the nomination. He’s been courting evangelical voters since his announcement speech at Liberty University. The truth is this: Cruz needs Trump to fade to have a realistic shot. The Brody File contends that Trump’s biggest threat is not Jeb or Rubio. It’s Cruz. He’s going after many of the same voters as Trump and he has the credentials, intellect, debating skills and passion to really make a dent in Trump’s voter pool.

One other quote from Cruz during our interview:

“I think the sharpest difference between my record and that of every other candidate is that people are tired of campaign conservatives. They’re tired of people who talk a great game while they’re on the campaign trail but they actually haven’t walked the walk and I think people are looking for a consistent conservative.”

I dont know why Cruz hasnt caught on...Ive read several explanations but who knows. The guy is brilliant but turns off a lot of potential allies/supporters. My hunch is he will stay below the other candidates.

With the Flat tax comes job creation due to more money in companies pockets.

Ron Reagan did that...And there was more job creation...In China, and Mexico...And that put more money in company's pockets...That's why Hillary has been telling people that Regan's trickle down economics don't work...And she's right...

Secure the borders, deport. Fill jobs with Americans and fill with HIBs as needed. Monitor HIBs for overstays, deport if there are over stays.

What jobs??? And overstays??? Trump says to put a hold on all immigration, legal and illegal, til this immigration mess is straightened out...And Trump has a real plan to get jobs...None of the other candidates has a legitimate plan to bring jobs back to America...Except Hillary...She wants to use tax money to give to private contractors to create jobs...

No one except Trump (including Cruz) has addressed the phony unemployment rates and the 95,000,000 who have given up looking for jobs and are now on welfare...

So yes, it will be interesting to see Cruz's policy positions...

So the critical question is, who will look better in a potential Trump-Cruz debate? That may make a critical difference just as it did in 1960.

I don't think so this time...The people who support Trump know he is not a professional debater like Cruz and maybe some of the others...We (I) are far more interested in what Trump says, not how he says it...

"Go Ted Go"

He is. ;)

Hence the hysteria you see from the Trump supporters.

TRUMPANZEES! LOL. Now I loves me some Trump; but that is indeed funny.

And after that bad spin on the Hillary hearings and the lack of Table Gowdy to find anything new that would change even one mind in the welfare warrior community...I needed that.

Still Obi Trump Kenobi is our only hope...all the rest are simply Jawas’.

As I already pointed out, Trump said all foreign student grads, not just PHD’s.

I’m trying to understand your position here. Are you a zero immigration proponent?

We’re not being invaded by math PHDs, FRiend. H-1B program is a disaster and should scrapped.

the price you’re willing to pay to thrash a true patriot

First of all, I'm not "thrashing" anybody. I'm disagree with *you* on one point *about* a candidate.

See, that's the problem with all of you fanboys - and this goes for the Cruz people, the Trump people, the Carson people - you're all the same. Any disagreement turns you into a raging idiot throwing around all kinds of accusations or whatever else.

Seriously - you people need to grow up. My six year old handles disagreement with more maturity than you do.

It was in the middle of a battle which Ted Cruz and a few senators fought against the 'Gang of 8' amnesty bill. He offered an amendment to counteract pro-illegal immigration provisions of the amnesty bill.

He reiterated his pro-H-1B-expansion stand this July: “Cruz: ‘Proud to Defend’ Trump, Expand H-1B Visas For ‘Educated,’ ‘Talented’ Job Creators” - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3309118/posts

H-1B ping. Let me know if you're not on the list and want to be added (or are and want to be removed).

I am sure Trump welcomes a discussion on immigration, H-1B visas, and trade bills.

I doubt that. No one wants to debate Ted Cruz.

It'll take more than debating skills to convince Americans that the middle class should be gutted.

I will be supporting Cruz for president, but let’s not hide the fact he’s beholden on some level to his big money donors. Without their money he has no shot at competing for the nomination.

First of all, I’m not “thrashing” anybody.
*********************

That so?

1. Your first post to me on this thread was: “Always intended.” LOL Buzz me when All-Talk Ted actually manages to get something accomplished.”

2. So, I replied, as you requested. But, when I pointed to Cruz victory before the Supreme Court in Medillon as an accomplishment ( winning 5 of 9 cases before the Supreme Court an accomplishment by anyone’s standards), you then gracelessly dismissed Cruz’s argument before the Supreme Court as meaningless. That’s what you said! Not an accomplishment at all!!!!

Now, having realized that you comported yourself indecorously, instead of retracting and apologizing, you lash out at me, characterizing me as “fanboy” and as immature. Thus, you first trashed Cruz, and then trashed me for merely answering your inquiry. Me immature??????

But please, look, I don’t wish to foist my immaturity on someone as sober as yourself. Best, for your sake, if you merely ignore me from here on out— and instead, discuss matters with your six year old. Though I do hope you will impart to your child the grace ascribed to those who have the class to admit when they are wrong.

Flat taxSome sort of national sales tax (no more than 3%?), abolish the IRS, secure the border, enforce the law as to illegals and follow/enforce the Constitution (see point #1).

Better

In your dreams.

I rarely run into any politically aware person that doesn’t understand that Cruz is the guy. Lost of them love Trump’s bombast too, but they realize that he would be a disaster in office.

>> “All Trump has to do is enforce existing immigration law. That’s it, easily doable...” <<

You’re living under a mushroom or something!

That is what Brewer was trying to do in AZ, and what Prop 187 requires in CA, but in both cases the court said no.

The courts have to be fixed before anything can be done.
