I rarely run into any politically aware person that doesn’t understand that Cruz is the guy. Lost of them love Trump’s bombast too, but they realize that he would be a disaster in office.

When Trump started threatening to run I called him a fumble mouth nitwit that couldn't finish a sentence and nothing so far has changed my opinion very much.
The Trump phenomenon is something else and the key element is immigration. No other candidate has even come close to endorsing the drastic measures Trump has espoused. Immigration is not just an issue, it is the determining issue.
I kept waiting for one of the conservatives running to figure out what was driving Trump support and modify their message but no one did.
Since the House has essentially endorsed open borders with the Ryan speakership it doesn't really matter anymore we shall never have a conservative elected to the presidency.
