Exclusive: Ted Cruz's Warning To Donald Trump: "Policy Differences" Coming Soon
CBN ^ | October 22, 2015 | David Brody

Posted on 10/22/2015 6:49:14 PM PDT by Isara

In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Ted Cruz says he has a plan to begin highlighting, “policy differences” between him and Donald Trump. “There are plenty of policy differences and there may well come a time when we start highlighting those more,” Cruz tells The Brody File. “In a political campaign there are seasons and phases to it…as the race narrows down, as people start making choices, we may see some more policy contrasts.”

Cruz has been climbing in the polls and has the money to make a serious run at the nomination. He’s been courting evangelical voters since his announcement speech at Liberty University. The truth is this: Cruz needs Trump to fade to have a realistic shot. The Brody File contends that Trump’s biggest threat is not Jeb or Rubio. It’s Cruz. He’s going after many of the same voters as Trump and he has the credentials, intellect, debating skills and passion to really make a dent in Trump’s voter pool.

One other quote from Cruz during our interview:

“I think the sharpest difference between my record and that of every other candidate is that people are tired of campaign conservatives. They’re tired of people who talk a great game while they’re on the campaign trail but they actually haven’t walked the walk and I think people are looking for a consistent conservative.”

It’s “leftie” to quote the post you’re responding to?

Okay, then.

How has NASA changed since Ted Cruz has been in charge of oversight??? Same broken institution in need of a major house cleaning. I expected more from Ted in this area.

If he cant fix NASA, why should I expect him to fix the country?

If you were a conservative, you’d be supporting one.

Why so agitated, Cotton? Upset that Cruz might dare to challenge your cult hero?

“Trump actually supports exactly the same”

Wrong. H1B is a tool used to replace US workers with cheap foreign labor.

It's a temporary visa given to foreign workers that ties them to a single employer and forces them to take lower waged. The employer then proceeds to fire the American workers. Do a google search for H1B and Disney for a case in point.

Please watch this video. Ted Cruz described the situation around the votes for TPA and Corker's bills.

H1B Visa:

Do you know the story behind the H1B visa stuff?

It was in the middle of a battle which Ted Cruz and a few senators fought against the 'Gang of 8' amnesty bill. He offered an amendment to counteract pro-illegal immigration provisions of the amnesty bill.

I, and many people, are grateful that Ted Cruz led this fight. Otherwise, they would have approved amnesty already.

Remember this fight in 2013?

sigh. Try to keep up. It’s simple.

You posted the same exact verbiage here you out on every thread. EVERY.

If you’d try to stay coherent for a moment, you didn’t quote anyone on the post I responded to, LOL!

Ok, go back to doing shots with every poll in which Trump beats Cruz.

but the document also called for raising the prevailing wage paid to foreigners on H-1B skilled worker visas and putting in place a requirement that employers hire American workers first - Trump’s immigration document.

I just thought he was better than that. I know he’s smart enough to present his ideas without comparing to other candidates. And I guess it’s not who I thought he was. Maybe I put him on a pedestal and I’m not being fair but it’s just how I fee.

Wow. You make this too easy:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/3319961/posts

“Yes, but you know something, it is not something that started a couple of years ago,” Rafael Cruz replied. “When he was 4 I used to read Bible stories to him all the time. And I would declare and proclaim the word of God over him. And I would just say, ‘You know, Ted, you have been gifted above any man that I know, and God has destined you for greatness.’ And I started making declarations about the word of God to him every day.”

His own father is the guy who started the cult! And you’re his willing little priestess.

“This is indistinguishable from upping H1B visas.”

No. H1B is a temporary visa tied to lower wages for the foreign worker. Its only purpose is to replace American workers with cheap foreign labor.

Which is exactly what the Cruz amendment called for. (only much earlier than St Donald)

I’m not agitated. Pathetic straw man attempt.

I’m fine with Cruz if he would explain his illegal and legal immigration stances.

IF you weren’t such defiant, name-calling, knee-jerking reactionary attacking everyone over Cruz, you’d realize most Trump supporters have Cruz as 2nd choice. Maybe some have Carson, but not here.

It is YOU that is the problem and shutdown any real discussion with your insults and arrogance. You do Cruz, who is a class act, a disservice.

“Cruz probably forgot some of his message, the part that start’s with...”Mr.Trump because I’m polling so low and you are polling so high, I gotta take a bit of a risk and come after you. But plz plzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzz don’t take it personally and come back at me.”

Worth repeating. As much as I like Cruz I don’t see how he gets past both Trump and Carson.

Well, I understand. Despite the hype in this “exclusive interview”, Cruz didn’t say anything that he hasn’t always said. They’re both running for president, and there will come a time, when they will have to both present their policies— and any differences. Trump said the same thing.

IMO, Cruz and Trump have both agreed on the logic that in order to win the general, (which ever wins the nomination) they both need the voters Trump is energizing on nationalist and anti-establishment issues-— and they both need the voters they Cruz is energizing (Tea Party, Christians).

So right now, confrontation is counterproductive. And ultimately, whoever wins the nomination, the other will support him by bringing over his voters.
