In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Ted Cruz says he has a plan to begin highlighting, “policy differences” between him and Donald Trump. “There are plenty of policy differences and there may well come a time when we start highlighting those more,” Cruz tells The Brody File. “In a political campaign there are seasons and phases to it…as the race narrows down, as people start making choices, we may see some more policy contrasts.”
Cruz has been climbing in the polls and has the money to make a serious run at the nomination. He’s been courting evangelical voters since his announcement speech at Liberty University. The truth is this: Cruz needs Trump to fade to have a realistic shot. The Brody File contends that Trump’s biggest threat is not Jeb or Rubio. It’s Cruz. He’s going after many of the same voters as Trump and he has the credentials, intellect, debating skills and passion to really make a dent in Trump’s voter pool.

“I think the sharpest difference between my record and that of every other candidate is that people are tired of campaign conservatives. They’re tired of people who talk a great game while they’re on the campaign trail but they actually haven’t walked the walk and I think people are looking for a consistent conservative.”

Excellent... Cruz “Show me where you bled for conservatism”! About time...I appreciate Trump for mocking Jeb and all, but in the voting booth I will be voting for the conservative who has stood for me...for my values and that man is Ted Cruz.

I doubt that. No one wants to debate Ted Cruz.
Yeah when Bush gives difference or Rubio or anyone else against trump.....bad. When Cruz does it.....blinders on everyone.
Every time Ted goes after Trump I lose more respect for him. He was my #2. He should run on his own policies without dragging Trump or anyone else into it.
I’m looking for a nationalist that can demonstrate even better policies than Trump has put forward, and an ability to break the media and the GOPe like he has.
A conservative d*ck measuring contest does not impress me. Cruz has no special magic to implement policies no matter how “consistent” he is and commands just as much disdain from the GOPe as Trump.
So beyond a pretty polished speech, I had better hear something of substance. And that doesn’t include how many bible verses you’ve memorized or any crap about amnesty or not building that border wall.

He voted for cloture the first time, and as he himself has said, the cloture vote is a yes vote. The cloture vote was 60. It he had voted against cloture, the Obama trade bill would not have passed.
