I just thought he was better than that. I know he’s smart enough to present his ideas without comparing to other candidates. And I guess it’s not who I thought he was. Maybe I put him on a pedestal and I’m not being fair but it’s just how I fee.
Well, I understand. Despite the hype in this “exclusive interview”, Cruz didn’t say anything that he hasn’t always said. They’re both running for president, and there will come a time, when they will have to both present their policies— and any differences. Trump said the same thing.
IMO, Cruz and Trump have both agreed on the logic that in order to win the general, (which ever wins the nomination) they both need the voters Trump is energizing on nationalist and anti-establishment issues-— and they both need the voters they Cruz is energizing (Tea Party, Christians).
So right now, confrontation is counterproductive. And ultimately, whoever wins the nomination, the other will support him by bringing over his voters.
