With Speaker John Boehners (R-Ohio) job in doubt, House conservatives have been holding internal talks about a new leadership coalition that could include Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as Speaker and more conservative members occupying lower rungs on the leadership ladder.

End of October means after shepherding 100% of 0bamas budget through including funding for Planned Death (*Parenthood*).
it must be remembered that politics is the art of the possible
although stronger grasp of power is desirable, it might not be possible
We don’t need a MORE EFFECTIVE LIBERAL.
The time is NOW to contact your Reps and the NRCC to say NO to McCarthy, NO RINOs, FWIW!!

“Gowdy is part of the kabuki.”
Exactly. His hearings make a lot of noise but have accomplished exactly NOTHING.
Gowdy’s hearings are there to mollify the conservative base without actually endangering Uniparty Rule.
That book jacket is the political equivalent of the Sports Illustrated Curse.
House Conservatives.
Is there more than one Left? Hadn’t noticed.
why would you post a picture of wanton water wastage in a time of drought???
While I agree, I still think Gowdy would be a better choice. Put him in charge so he no longer have any excuses
Gowdy has a ConservativeReview Score card of 85%, Grade B which is not bad
Let’s hope so.
Boehner has a “lifetime conservative rating” of 83%. Those with rankings above 90% and 16 or more years of service include:
Royce, Sam Johnson, Chabot, Pete Sessions, Kingston, Rohrabacher, Brady, Pitts, Thornberry, Goodlatte, Barton, Gary Miller, Mica, Lamar Smith, Doc Hastings, Sensenbrenner, and Paul Ryan.
I hope they start with that list and find someone with real values who will lead and articulate why small government and freedom are better than slavery to the commands of an overlord class.
But McCarthy, along with Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor are self-proclaimed “Young Guns,” able to attract millennials.
McCarthy probably has the votes lined up for his quick installation. The GOP is quite facile fighting against conservatives while acting as double agents for the dems.
McCarthy- or whomever- only needs a conservative Majority Leader and some conservative committee, sub-committe chairs to be acceptable.
It’s the whole deal that counts.
And the new Leadership HAS to represent the WHOLE caucus. Not just us or them.
Yeah, what’s up with that? Gowdy as the fair-haired boy has tarnished. Is there another faux conservative in the wings, now that we are hip to his jive?
If so, they are not conservative.
McCarthy is GOPe? I did not know.
Hey, we’re talking 2nd in POTUS succession here. Shouldn’t Americans have at least *heard* of the candidates for speaker? Shouldn’t it go to someone whose home state has voted for an R for POTUS at least once in the last twenty years?
The question I ask is, who would be a decent conservative for the Speaker position? Thank-you ahead for your responses and God Bless.
McCarthy is nothing but Lucy with the football again.
