He had a private audience with Francis before the pope’s address to a joint meeting of Congress. If you read to the bottom of the article, perhaps there was a confession... I joked yesterday that maybe the Holy Spirit was moving through him...maybe it wasn't a joke.

Kevin McCarthy is the one the GOPe wants. I know you are joking, but there is no way Cantor would be speaker whether he was in or out of Congress. He is making a ton of money on K street.
McCarthy, Cantor, and Ryan were the next GOPe generation. All look down on Rep voters and support amnesty, free trade, etc. They are bought and owned by the Chamber of Commerce.

McCarthy sold out the CA Gop in the 2010 redistricting .
In secret meeting with Dems , the viper signed off a plan that saved his seat and wiped out 7 gop safe seats giving the Dems filibuster proof majorities in the Ca State house.
He is a silicon valley H 1 Visas- Amnesty puppet !

Doesn’t matter WHO John Boehner’s successor might be, the Republican Establishment just has ANOTHER surrender-monkey hack lined up, and there may be an organizational chart name change, but nothing else.
I am not being cynical - just pragmatic. Real Americans are a minority in their own country.
