Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin has concluded he no longer has a path to the Republican presidential nomination and plans to drop out of the 2016 campaign, according to three Republicans familiar with his decision, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Mr. Walker called a news conference in Madison at 6 p.m. Eastern time.

Carson was right. He should have said “the dumbest thing this country ever did was elected a muslim as president so soon after 9/11. Then when asked what he meant by that, he could have said “well Barack Hussein Obama” doesn’t sound exactly Irish. Actually, that's not true. Sometimes you have to make your opportunities. Carly cut in several times and asked to be heard. Walker was asked three questions. As a number of posters have suggested, he was too polite. There was little passion compared to Carly's Planned Parenthood comment, which you have to admit was masterful.

I hate to use this cliché, but it is appropriate: life is not fair.

In the spring, I really believed he would be the last man standing.

His supporters have already scattered, so the big deal with this is where will his donors go?

Walker looked to be a possible consensus candidate if things went south for Trump and Cruz.

He’s done amazing things in the fight against the domestic marxists and will continue to do so.

The guy has more common sense than all of these single digit college boys combined.

Retire from the field if the situation is unwinnable and come back when reinforced and better positioned.

I don’t get FOX anymore, but watched it for years. Kraut was one of my favorites; I greatly respected his mind and heart.

I guess we’re in ‘interesting times’, now. The rules have changed, and that’s confusing folks.

He had a record against it. Not a whole lot, but more than most running. Then he came out with including legal immigration curbs.

Couple that with the small government reforms and states’ rights issues. Throw in Castle Doctrine, CCW, defunding PP, etc. and you have a good cocktail.

Walker’s PAC still has the majority of the money they raised and it’s not chump change. Walker also set up a grassroots network that could easily switch to another candidate that matches similar supporters, so who knows what will happen?
