He had a record against it. Not a whole lot, but more than most running. Then he came out with including legal immigration curbs.
Couple that with the small government reforms and states’ rights issues. Throw in Castle Doctrine, CCW, defunding PP, etc. and you have a good cocktail.
Walker’s PAC still has the majority of the money they raised and it’s not chump change. Walker also set up a grassroots network that could easily switch to another candidate that matches similar supporters, so who knows what will happen?
The problem with that is that he’s on record as being for amnesty/pathway to citizenship (hence abbreviated as A/PTC) two years ago. Then he was against A/PTC. Then he said he supported A/PTC at a fundraiser. On video.
Whoops.
See the problem? Record of actions or not, his record of statements is more FOR A/PTC than against it.
