John Heilemann was a rather reluctant witness. But when called on to testify, so to speak, Heilemann confirmed a stunning fact: that during the 2008 presidential race, it was Hillary Clinton who started the rumor that Barack Obama might not be a Christian.

The matter arose when on today's Morning Joe. Joe Scarborough ripped Hillary's hypocrisy on Face the Nation yesterday for criticizing Republicans who question Obama's religion, "when it all started with her and her campaign passing things around in the [2008] Democratic primary." When Steve Rattner asked Heilemann, in his role as inside-campaign-baseball expert, to confirm whether Joe's allegation was true, Heilemann tersely said "it was the case."

Hillary can’t criticize Republicans for questioning Obama’s religion when in 2008 she was the one who started the rumor he isn’t Christian.

I find your assumptions to be flawed, grasshopper. Hillary is unconstrained by any sense of morality or consistency in her campaign for the Presidency. To her, it is the reward for the endless years of servitude and enduring the 'Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy!'

The ones who need to be pointing out her hypocrisy on this, and so many other issues, is our unbiased MSM (choke, gasp), the Constitutional Watchdog ... (err piddling puppy), the 4th Estate!

Not rumor, but truth. Obama’s own Illinois campaign literature states that he’s “Kenyan-born”. Most likely, one of PIAPS’ flying monkeys discovered it and passed it on to her boss.
