Jeb Bush was ready to counterpunch at Wednesday night’s debate when asked about Donald Trump’s statement that politicians could be bought. "The one guy that had some special interests that I know of that tried to get me to change my views on something—that was generous and gave me money—was Donald Trump," Bush said. "He wanted casino gambling in Florida."
That’s when Trump cut him off—and failed to tell the truth. “I didn't,” Trump said.

He won on style and info conveyed. What he did, or didn’t say in 2013 has NO bearing on his performance tonight.
Not because he’s your, or my favorite candidate.
I am a Cruz supporter, but he didn’t have a great night. I liked his message better than Rubio, but it doesn’t mean he won. I’ve always liked his message better than Rubio.
Regardless I’m grading on debate skills, not popularity.
When you want to compare under those parameters come back.

You could fine-tooth comb this I suppose... that Trump tried to get the door OPEN to casinos in Florida — and because he couldn’t, he never tried to get a casino INTO Florida (which would have been a whole ‘nother mess of fish, it is possible that some other casino might have been allowed but not Trump’s). It wasn’t QUITE as coarse as “Hey, I have men ready to break ground right HERE for a casino, now give me the green light please.”
If we can look at the facts in a valid way that doesn’t damn somebody it probably is a good idea to do exactly that.
It’s weird, right?
For me, Bush is just as much a political enemy as Hillary! or Bernie.
