Macy's is joining the line of companies cutting ties with Donald Trump over the real estate mogul's comments about Mexican immigrants.
In this case, it's neckties. The retailer has marketed a line of menswear with the Trump label since 2004. But in a statement issued Wednesday, Macy's said it was "disappointed and distressed" over Trump's June 16 remarks regarding U.S. immigration policy in which he made derogatory remarks about Mexicans. He said Mexican immigrants were bringing drug and crime into the U.S.
"We have no tolerance for discrimination in any form," Macy's said in a statement.
Trump made the comments at the kickoff of his campaign for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination and has been taking heat ever since.
Trump has already lost business from Univision, which will not air the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. NBC, Trump's partners in the pageants, has also announced it will sever ties with Trump, and will keep him off his hit reality show "Celebrity Apprentice." Mexican TV companies Televisa and TV Ora have also parted ways with Trump.
The move by Macy's is a sign that the Trump brand name, a major source of income for the billionaire, is becoming tarnished as a result of the controversy.
The ties and shirts in the Trump line were still on the Macy's website Wednesday at discounted prices. . .

What he should do is to sell made-in-the-USA campaign gear with subtle "Trump 2016" logos. He could make a whole lot of profit for the campaign that way!
No, making a statement is not discrimination; but what is, is any free choice that any of us make, as between different alternatives. The Left has gone to great efforts to demonize free choice, in their effort to control all our lives; but the word still means what it always meant, despite the verbal gamesmanship of some.
Incidentally, as I have been posting in other threads for the benefit of those who were not around in 1964, the corporate leadership, which now controls Macy's, took the lead in 1964 in setting up "Republicans For Johnson," to deliberately torpedo the candidacy of Barry Goldwater for President.
Goldwater was a true Conservative & patriot. Most of us at Free Republic know very well what Lyndon Johnson was.
That would certainly increase the level of ridiculousness.
My local Macys is terrible, and has been for some time. I haven’t even bothered to go into the store in over a year. The merchandise is generally poor quality and at least 1/2 the registers are unmanned.
I’ve found better deals and higher quality in Kohls.
Trump should point out the obama released 30,000 criminal aliens onto our streets, and about 120 of them then committed murders!
Fankly, I don’t think you could increase the level of ridiculousness. This is all absurd.
All anyone has to do is scan the internet and check out the crimes committed by illegal immigrants. Then study up a bit and discover what services they from tax dollars. Then look at what businesses bend over forwards to cater to them.
Now they’re even being allowed to register to vote.
You think Trump is ridiculous. Good grief, what side are you on anyway?
Apparently Macy’s supports the flood of drugs and murderers entering the country from Mexico.
This phoney baloney moralism is pretentious and will not get them the cheap high ground they are seeking.
Progressives have their marching orders from hell to flood the country with chaos. Obama is leading the charge.
Trump has made the dirty little secret obvious.
The ferrets are coming out of the woodwork and the "I hate White" campaign is in full force. Thank you mister Obama...not enough problems...we need a race war.
Ever think that with his donation history, this might all BE his campaign?
I could see a very big Trump construction project happening right around Thanksgiving. It will tear up streets and cause a whole mess.
And screw up the parade route.
Forget it...Trump would be soundly stomped even if through some tragi-comedy he got the Republican nomination. He’s a buffoon but a rich one who says the right things in the wrong way but nobody can predict what would happen if he won.
LOL
Not directed at you...
evil
addressing the truth regarding illegal immigrants
not evil
following in the footsteps of Hitler
If he has “made in the U.S.A.” logos it would be fraud. He only has clothes manufactured in China,Bangladesh, and Mexico.
Guess I will have to return some pants I bought from them last week. After all they don’t want someone’s money who agrees with Trump.
Pray America is waking
Have we seen this before? Maybe in Germany in the 30’s? Now here in what used to be America.
The government sponsored “black balling” anyone and everyone who threatens their choke-hold on the ignorant and brain-washed populace of the United States WILL BE CRUSHED!
Thanks to our private and public school system and higher “educational” institutions the ability to think independently has been eliminated and “group think” has replaced it. History has been rewritten and entertainment has become the source of news and politically correct social manners and morals.
In less than two years we will know if we have lost all hope of turning this country back to what it was before the liberals hijacked it.
Is the problem Mexicans or Latino’s?
I don’t see Brazilians coming to America in droves.
Hell, their GDP is 40% greater, with 20% fewer people.
Fact is, Mexico is a basket case and they are all too happy to encourage their people to leave for other opportunities that can never exist in Modern Mexico.
Mexico is a country anyway, Comprised of various ethnicities like Brazil, Chile or Canada.
Why aren’t more people from those countries coming to America in droves?
Is it so difficult for them to make the journey?
DITTOS!
Macys probably has mens and womens restrooms.
After watching the Perot fiasco, its clear nothing is predictable in politics.
For better or worse, there are a lot of people in this nation who agree with Trump on immigration and trade.
I’m quite uncomfortable with him personally, but I’m even more uncomfortable with what the other politicians, business insiders, and Leftists are doing to our nation.
I’m not convinced those other folks really give a S about our sovereignty, or even continued existence as a nation.
Frankly, I think Trump would be better than most of them when you consider that.
