Media are reporting an armored van, with what appears to be gun ports on rear, opened fire overnight in front of the Dallas Police Department.

Depends on the windshield material. Even as early as the 1980s there was armored car windshields that could survive that.
A block formed into a shaped charge is a different story, however.

So, let me get this straight - a guy in an armored van (even one lone crazy guy) lures Dallas PD officers out of their HQ, opens fire on them, leaves explosives hidden around the police HQ, and ends up in a standoff with the police. And you think that is NOT a terrorist attack?
5:07am snipers shot and struck the perp. Officers not approaching vehicle. Robot will detonate around the van.
They’ve been trying very hard to distract us from the trade bill.
SOmeone called WFAA claiming they had a bomb. Trying to track that phone call.
There is a line from a game I play. “Embrace hard truth”. It’s pretty bad when a video game teaches what the modern educational system refuses to. And what so many adults simply refuse to do.
If we would do that simple, sensible thing, and sadly forgotten/ignored thing, the majority of the knots we twist ourselves in simply would not exist to vex us.
No its not, or every perp shooting at the police or set up for a police ambush by the druggies is a terrorist attack. It so dilutes the meaning of the word that the real terrorists just disappear into the background noise. The hype also benefits the Administration’s drive to hype domestic alleged terrorism and surveillance and down play or erase Muslim incidents.
Sounds to me like the guy said “Well if they wanna call me a terrorist, I’ll be one”.
You do have a valid and solid point. Don’t misunderstand me. But because of the above, if that is in fact true, he’s a terroist according to the definition.
Well, usually terrorism involves a political purpose. The political purpose here would be the media’s and the Administration’s so it is sort of an inverse way of looking at it. I haven’t heard any political demands from the shooter.

When I first read this this morning I thought it would be a WHITE GUY because building an armored vehicle requires WORK, a cutting torch, heavy steel possibly an overhead crane and a Welding machine!
Did I mention it requires WORK?

NBC5 reporterette conjectures that the incident may have been kicked off due to custody issues with Boulware’s kids.
My first thought was just to shoot it with a HEAT round. But I hadnt had my coffee yet. Even if it didnt penetrate, a 30 second timer visible from inside the van for effect would have made things livelier. If you had a shape charge you could just slide it underneath. Probly no armor there.
Make no mistake these acts are instigated from the top down. BO and Holder both have blamed police for arresting and shooting out of control criminals. BO and Holder spreading the hatred has been the leadership that leads to these incidents. Hate the cops, hate America, and hate whites—these are the messages of hate and change promised by these vile criminals that hold political power over America.
