Media are reporting an armored van, with what appears to be gun ports on rear, opened fire overnight in front of the Dallas Police Department.

The van doesn’t look like anything special. The media keeps calling the fold down step, “armor” but their mediots.

Yes, the reporting is starting to look overblown. No police casualties. The van looks like a home conversion with gun ports and a step platform down the side. No obvious armor. The police can only confirm one suspect who is/was driving the van. The suspect is identified as a white male. Regardless of the actual facts, this is an useful attack profile for the Administration pushing the domestic terrorism angle.
The DPD reported that their fire was *not* penetrating the van. The van appears to be a Lenco armored conversion, like this one.

It could possibly *be* that very van from eBay, too.
Also, WFAA just reported that the DPD bomb squad robot attempted to move one of the planted bags and it detonated.

Lenco does great NIJ level IIa and III work on courier vans. Ex SWAT will probably be III+ or IV

Note to self....vehicle roof is only level II (or less). Get some elevation, say 4 stories high and shoot down with your .308 or higher and you’ll probably bag a bad guy.
From what I've been able to gather, this guy was a liberal through and through and pro-union. Those behind such crimes are invariably DemonRATs such as Lee Harvey Oswald, James Earl Ray, Lynette Fromme, John Hinckley, Timothy McVeigh...the list is endless. I honestly can't think of a single Christian Conservative who has committed anything other than the most petty of offenses, maybe fishing without a license or "crimes" of that sort.

Lenco didn’t armor the rear diff on the E-350 and it’s the lowest point on the rear of the van. Hit the ground and pour fire into the thin stamped tin differential cover - mobility kill.
Sounds like this genius planned a mass casualty event and in the end will be the only one left dead.

Yeah, that was the Killdozer incident. The police didn’t actually stop that one, the driver mobility-killed his own vehicle and then shot himself.
