How far will our ideologically demented ruling class push Affirmative Action before people start pushing back? Already it has played a role in destroying our schools, with a liberal judge actually abolishing aptitude tests on the grounds that blacks don’t score as well. But apparently people don’t think it matters whether teachers have any qualifications other than skin color. If being black can get you into the White House, why not a classroom? Maybe airliners crashing into each other will wake people up:

What could possibly go wrong. Some groups really don’t have to compete...they’re carried into “positions” for which others actually must compete.
This is happening. Many qualified applicants are ‘aging out’ because of this.

Which seems to buy into the assumption that no black could ever qualify for and excel at that job. I'd reword it some to reflect that some AA employees are unqualified. Affirmative action should only guarantee the right to try, on a level playing field. It has been abused to promote the less qualified due to color or other factors. That is wrong.

Once it was allowed for doctors, we were done. There are now two standards: A real one for white/Asian guys, and the fraudulent one for preferred minorities. When you see this in action in the workplace it is pathetic; I see women “playing men”, and they can only deal with other tokens (with similarly diminished capabilities). Fortunately I’ve worked with enough sharp, qualified women to know it isn’t biological, just an entitlement mentality in a growing number of “preferred” people.
The standards for Air Traffic Controllers has diminished considerably over the years. The collision alarms were shut off because the controllers were getting too many planes too close to each other. What is worse crashing two airplanes together or crashing the USA?
It has been forced on companies by threat of lawsuit; the NYC police commissioner revealed an uncomfortable truth when he said many blacks had criminal records that prevented them from being hired as cops. We are supposed to ignore that and simply ensure they are over-represented in these work-fare programs.
Understand that it is the GOVERNMENT’S OFFICIAL POSITION that blacks/Hispanics/women can’t qualify for or excel at anything; they are repeating the Klan’s lines regarding genetic inferiority from half a century ago. In fact, they’ve based a whole policy and false economy on that mindset...

Exactly my point. His *ONLY* qualification was skin color. He was elected by a bunch of people who could see or understand nothing else.
I find it frustrating because I proposed this idea back in 1994. Had *WE* deliberately picked a candidate because he was black, WE could have had a President running the nation with a conservative agenda. I knew back in 1994 that the first Major Party to run a Black candidate for President, would probably walk away with it.
As a matter of fact, the Republican Party would have had the bigger advantage. We would have gotten massive crossover votes from Democrats.
I'm thinking we are done. I'm thinking that so much is going wrong, that it is unsalvageable.
I'm thinking we need to work at strengthening our own communities and families, and help push this thing to collapse.
I believe I read or heard somewhere that we have a shortage of one-legged oriental lesbian air traffic controllers.
