If he was a white male with the exact same resume, he'd have never gotten INTO the primaries, let alone out of them.
Exactly my point. His *ONLY* qualification was skin color. He was elected by a bunch of people who could see or understand nothing else.
I find it frustrating because I proposed this idea back in 1994. Had *WE* deliberately picked a candidate because he was black, WE could have had a President running the nation with a conservative agenda. I knew back in 1994 that the first Major Party to run a Black candidate for President, would probably walk away with it.
As a matter of fact, the Republican Party would have had the bigger advantage. We would have gotten massive crossover votes from Democrats.
