Former U.S. President Bill Clinton defended his charitable foundation's acceptance of large foreign donations on Monday, thrusting himself into a controversy that is weighing on the presidential candidacy of his wife, Hillary Clinton.
"I don't think there's anything sinister in trying to get wealthy people in countries that are seriously involved in development to spend their money wisely in a way that helps poor people and lifts them up," Clinton told NBC News from Kenya, in an interview taped over the weekend.

My information is circumstantial but mostly public knowledge. 1) Back in 2009, Intel started looking for State Dept employees to hire as advisers. 2) In 2009, Intel spent millions on a solar array in Oregon to help promote Green Energy in a State which gets little sunshine. 3) In 2010, a secret project starts up at Intel reporting to the US Gov and is NOT reported to Stockholders. It remains secret to this day.

Never mind that they likely would have said not much different about the Loral deal towards China. In addition, the Clinton family reputation would suggest that this deal is just as harmful as all the ones they stated as "harmless".

NOTE: One of the most common money-laundering MO's is one foundation writing a check to another foundation---the check receiver takes a cut then transfers the bulk elsewhere for the donor's use later---how they skim off tax-free money for themselves...or maybe for campaign expenses?
Yes... “to spend their money wisely” so that 15% ends up going to the charitable effort and the balance remains a slush fund, compensation and overhead benefiting the Clinton campaign staff and “executives” (including Bill, Hill and Chelsea!). That’s very thoughtful of these foreign donors and a great excuse for violating the law by not revealing their names and donation amounts over the past 4 years.
Imagine another 4-8 years of these people in charge!
