Obama On Baltimore: Republican Congress Won’t Invest in Urban Communities
Breitbart ^ | 28 Apr 2015 | by Charlie Spiering

During his press conference today, President Obama addressed the violence in Baltimore, claiming his political agenda would help solve some of the problems found in impoverished urban communities, such as the one where the violence occurred.

“There’s a bunch of my agenda that would make difference right now in that,” he said, calling for more funding for early education, criminal justice reform and job training.

Obama criticized members of Congress for blocking his agenda items, but encouraged Americans to do some “soul searching” during his joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe this afternoon.

“I’m under no illusion that under this Congress we’re going to get massive investments in urban communities,” he said, adding that it was important to work to improve communities anyway.

He explained Americans should not “just pay attention to these communities when a CVS burns,” but rather work together to tackle poverty around the nation.

Obama had the house and the senate in HIS control for two years of his Presidency..he didnt invest a damn thing in urban communities because for liberals, its all about passing around welfare and food stamps to keep blacks in line..they have used blacks for years as easy pawns, their voting block, just throw some free crap in their face and they own them for life

Give and it shall be given unto you. Continually demand that more be given you and you will never have enough. Never. Large segments of American society have become perpetual takers. Much to their detriment. If you want to prosper, then produce value, contribute to the commonweal. Give and you will get more than you give in return. Just keep taking and you will stagnate and sink.
Contribute and grow. Take and decline.

What a liar. The Urban Centers are Democrat territory. The Democrats own this lock stock and barrel.

"U.S. taxpayers have spent over $22 trillion on anti-poverty programs (in constant 2012 dollars)."

It would cost much less to just build walls around the cities.

CVS Pharmacy invested in the urban community, and look how much appreciation they got.

Same with Rite Aid.

What does “invest in urban communities” mean?

It means steal from those who prosper because of their culture,
and give to those who fail because of their culture.

Thank you for referencing that article yuffy. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"Obama On Baltimore: Republican Congress Won’t Invest in Urban Communities"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Lawless Obama is evidently trying to win the votes of low-information voters, voters who have never been taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.

More specifically, the Supreme Court has historically clarified that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues, essentially any issue which Congress cannot justify with its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

And since the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to invest taxpayer dollars in intrastate urban communities, citizens shouldn’t be paying federal taxes for such purposes.

In the twisted minds of ghetto rioters, companies such as CVS and Rite Aid are part of the white oppressors, so they get what they deserved by being in that ghetto area.

So it's the Republicans who are holding back all the companies and entrepreneurs who are itching to invest in America's black ghettos?

How exactly are they doing that? Have they passed (and Obama signed) laws forbidding private investment in black areas?

Of course by "invest", Hussein really means "spend", as in spending taxpayer dollars on the usual zero-return community activist nonsense that's been around ever since liberals discovered white guilt.
