During his press conference today, President Obama addressed the violence in Baltimore, claiming his political agenda would help solve some of the problems found in impoverished urban communities, such as the one where the violence occurred.
“There’s a bunch of my agenda that would make difference right now in that,” he said, calling for more funding for early education, criminal justice reform and job training.
Obama criticized members of Congress for blocking his agenda items, but encouraged Americans to do some “soul searching” during his joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe this afternoon.
“I’m under no illusion that under this Congress we’re going to get massive investments in urban communities,” he said, adding that it was important to work to improve communities anyway.
He explained Americans should not “just pay attention to these communities when a CVS burns,” but rather work together to tackle poverty around the nation.

What the left consider “investments” usually end up turning into money down a rathole.
Government programs created the problems in our inner cities.
More government can only make them worse.
Soooooo in a Dem controlled area, a Dem ran city, in a Dem ran state, it is the republicans fault....
Apparently Lindsey and John and Turkeyneck didn’t capitulate enough for Obama’s taste.
So, after 50 years of a war on poverty, and tens of trillions spent on anti-poverty programs, the issue is that we just haven’t spent enough, or had enough anti-poverty programs???
Is he for real?? He really thinks the problem is that we just haven’t spent enough on urban problems and anti poverty programs? And the mean Republicans just won’t let him devote the money and resources to fight the problems? So that’s why a city such as Baltimore is burning??? Really???
I wouldn’t invest a dime in urban communities with Obama in office.

If these urban communities are so good they should divest from America and stop taking our filthy conservative dollars.
He whines about not having jobs for black yutes, as the aforementioned yutes are burning the businesses that have the jobs.
Baltimore = Democrats on parade.
Every riot = Democrats on parade.

Because all the money we’ve been sending their way for the last couple generations is helping SO MUCH, right.
