Last week Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Calif., introduced a bill in Congress asking states to ban sexual orientation conversion therapy, often abbreviated as CT, for minors. California is one of two states that have prohibited licensed professionals from offering the practice, which includes efforts to change not only sexual orientation but also gender identity.
While the congressional bill is only a resolution—it encourages states to bar the practice rather than proposing the heavier lift of a federal ban—the idea that CT is dangerous and should be banned is gaining momentum ...
What do we actually know about the practice of CT and its impact on often vulnerable patients? First, the therapy has been discredited across the board by all reputable practitioners, researchers, and professional organizations with any knowledge of the practice. The American Psychological Association’s 2009 opus on the topic concludes that “there is insufficient evidence to support the use of psychological interventions to change sexual orientation” and warns against the harmful effects of trying. It’s actually interesting, the notion that homosexuals can turn straight is less controversial in Britain. Probably because all of their “elites” know a chap who was majorly into buggery while attending a posh all male public school, grew out of it at university, dated women, is now happily married to one, and not “gay”.
The irony is that the Left is imposing CT on the entire population to turn everyone from straight to at least Bi, if not outright gay.
We could turn this on its head and say “GOOD”.
Note to homosexuals, teachers, Hollywood: Stop trying to convert our children to your homosexual lifestyle.
Mental illness can be treated.
All behavior is a set of skills and attitudes and is subject to change.

From observations, some folks do seem to “be born that way”, but many more seem to have either made some sort of hedonistic choice or suffered serious abuses as children. Those who oppose the therapy do not want it out that serious abuse of children begets homosexuality and also begets further abuses of children - if the therapy is allowed to continue, there will be many case histories of serious abuse and of “fixing homosexuality” by getting to the root of the damages cause by the abuse.
Sexual immorality begins as a thinking process.
Homosexuality has been condoned by our culture, because most people were first unrepentantly sexually immoral as heterosexuals and by refusing to judge others satiated their conscience with lies to themselves.
Not all liars are criminals, but all criminals are liars.
Homosexuals have striven to decriminalize their sexual immorality and continue to lie to others to satiate their scarred souls. They will hate anything that might redirect them away from their criminal thinking.
My company has been posting coming out stories by employees as proof of a diverse and inclusive culture.
A man married ten years with four kids comes out, eventually separating and having a public male partner. What no one says is that clearly he had a choice and could swing both ways, if he could make FOUR children.
Another guy is living with his wife and (at least 2) minor children. He says he wants to keep the marriage together but permission to cheat on the side. Clearly, sexuality is a choice - he was able to have sex with his wife enough to make her happy and make children.

IMO, it’s funny that we don’t hear women saying they were born lesbian? Most I’ve met turned after being abused/raped by a man.
Men and women are different, you know. :)
If I were the CEO I would take the example as proof positive the employee was unable to commit and honor his marriage contract, thereby identifying him as a security risk for the company, i.e. a person likely to be enticed to trade corporate secrets to their competitors for selfish gain, even if temporarily.
Bradly Manning comes to mind, too.
Happily married folks don’t as often get seduced into leaking data in the bedroom.
Homosexual men, even those in “unions”, cheat far more than the married man with a mistress. The married homosexual men have accommodations with their partners to have sex on the side, and per surveys, did so often.
Now such sexual immorality is only adverse information if you are heterosexual.
