Starbucks admits that the initiative was birthed out of a company forum in which employees discussed racial tensions across America due to police killing unarmed black men in Ferguson.

I don’t care for their hot coffee but love the iced coffee—and I drink both black and unsweetened.

...for the leftist media, yet another "inconvenient truth" that didn't meet the narrative, and so the story was basically buried with the victims...no nightly news reminders, no protests out in the streets.
...wish people would stop looking for enemies in foreign lands, the real destructive enemy of the Republic is here, it's been here for decades, and it's a cancer that's been allowed to spread into every institution in America.
That malignant growth is called...liberalism.

Horror. . indeed. . .but not a peep from the usual race hustlers.
“I really dont understand it other than to think the management is confident enough in their training of the airheads to be reasonably comfortable in their position to now start lecturing based on some political bent.”
Dude. You lost me there. I think i need another Venti Bold.
;-)
Oh and let me add, Ron Opie Howard’s business partner is behind Empire. So I assume Opie is making money off it, too.
Stay tuned for more white guilt.
sounds like a great hashtag #nostarbucksinferguson
Airheads being the customers who they’ve ‘trained’ to use vente/grande/whatever instead of small medium and large. I really don’t know which is which nor care.
I heard this crap and I thought “throw some more mackerel to the seals - they done good!”
Thank you.
The goal is to make the system as annoying as possible for as many people as possible.”
What is the message you are trying send by annoying the average commuter just trying to get to work. . .you know. . the people that are actually working and not living on the dole? Why hassle them? Why not go after the lazy and abusers of the system by dropping a huge bag of pennies in the doorway of the local welfare office. . .?
“The goal is to make the system as annoying as possible for as many people as possible.”

Why on earth would you do that?
.
Yup. That was the incident I was thinking of. Didn’t get much coverage did it. But let one punk assault and cop and pay the price and it’s headline/breaking news for weeks if not months. White privilege? I don’t think so.
There is no NASCAR, only USAC (hehe)
Starbucks started in Seattle, WA, did it not?
I think their customer base is younger yuppie/hipster types that typically don’t have a clue.
Largest racial groups in Seattle:
The 2010 Census indicates that the largest racial group in Seattle is White (69% of the citys population). The next largest group is Asian (14%), followed by Black or African American (8%).
I love Starbucks coffee.
But on the issue of race, I would have to say that, yes, I do run 4-7 miles every week.
But since I run like a rabbit—like a disabled one, anyway—I do not race.
It’s none of their business anyway.
Sounds like the need to “immigrate” some more black folks to be representative of the national average. I mean it’s only right.
To motivate people to change it. Same reason for the LOOOOONG diatribe at starbucks.
It’s all about incremental.
Truth be told, when we go to Chicago now we just avoid toll roads. Thanks to google maps it’s very easy. Haven’t hit a toll in years.
The reason governments make people pay a toll is because people pay it. I go Galt on such stuff.
I was going to boycott them but I may just go in there and get in line and when it’s time for me to order I’ll tell the barista that I just came in to chat with him/her about race. And I would suggest he/she reads “The Bell Curve” that that would explain everything he/she sees around the world regarding races.
How about you race back there and get me a cup of Joe?
McDonald could learn a lesson from that.
