Let’s see if the “random violence against random people” meme works in this instance.....
I fear the backlash / knee-jerk reactions from this will be with us forever.
anyone see my bag of “give a shi’ite?
It has to be random violence. I’m pretty sure the shooter didn’t know the victims’ names—and that IS the standard touted by Obama, isn’t it?
The will of Allah
The shooter appears to be an atheist.
the victims were thought to be queer
Hicks is being held on three counts of first-degree murder.
In one post widely shared online, Hicks, who claimed he is an atheist, allegedly wrote: "When it comes to insults, your religion started this, not me. If your religion kept its big mouth shut, so would I."
CNN couldn't independently confirm the authenticity of the post or his Facebook page.
I place blame on national/state governments that have done not only nothing to deal with the virus of islam, they have encouraged and abetted it.
It was only a matter of time until a nutcase committed murder.
Americans grow very weary of being told we must allow unhindered invasion by the third world and barbarian cultures.
I sure hope no one says “That’s a good start”. That would be so wrong
I’m sure the president is gravely concerned about the possibility of a violent back-lash against non-muslims. He’ll probably even speak to the nation about it this afternoon or this evening, urging muslims to remain calm and not take out their anger on innocent non-muslims.

Chalk up three more under the “Killed by Atheists” column.
Not a faked hate crime....Anti-Jihadists will be slammed and shamed.
ABCNBCCNNMSNBCCBS have the perfect story for “the narrative” which is the same narrative for them all.
If the shooter isn’t a ROP’er, they will find the motive right away, and charge him with a hate crime.
The shooting isn’t the hate crime. The fact that the victims are ROP is enough to force the police to assume that the motive was “hate”.
Since I did not read the entire story, I assume Craig Stephen Hicks is a white man or CNN would not have identified his victims.
In my opinion, Hicks was just taking a pre-emptive defensive action and probably deserves a medal.
OMG...How terrible that something like this should happen to a student!
workplace violence, folks shot at random.
Too many questions, too early. Was the shooter a neighbor? What was the relationship? Was he out walking his dog and just came unhinged at the sight of them? Business deal gone wrong? Road rage and followed them home? He says he’s atheist but brings up their religion as a cause? Then why these three and not any other of the thousands of MEs wandering around between UNC and Duke?
I happen to have a close friend just a 1/4 mile away in Meadowmont. She’s a little unnerved to say the least.
The Council on White American Relations responded to notice of the shooting by warning that vengeful muslimes should not “indulge in any retaliatory acts” against peaceful whites, even though he feared a backlash when the news became public.
